Only up 24-21 with 3 min left and texas ball with a fresh qb whos never played? 1 bama td was a bs one right before the half because of a brainfart by gilbert/mack brown? The final score was misleading. No money on this game here just saying.

bama was gifted a few TD's and easily could have lost the game, that's how "dominant" they were...

because bama could have ran up the score.. they were killing them at the half and tried to sit on the lead and run every dam down, like four 3 and outs in a row, on all runs!! ..

saban is an idiot and got his defense tired and almost cost them the game

u gotta be an idiot to not see that ..the could have named the score but saban had no balls!!

if bama would have lost that game .. it would have went down as the worst coached national championship of all time

Thank you! The first post I have read today that is true. I disagree with him doing this. I thought it was poor coaching. Its the National Championship for Gods sake, you have to put teams away. He is very lucky that Texas didn't pull it out.

I agree 100%. Bama did let up it's b/c Saban thought he had it in the bag. Once you have a team down and out you have to knock them out. Texas did a good jod using what they had but just wouldn't enough in the end. The D came through again. I think Bama should keep that 400k Saban suppose to get for winning to let him know they are higher people up in the program.

The guy didn't call a coservative game because he didn't have balls.  Texas' d wouldn't allow them to throw.  They went three and out several times, due to the longhorn d line not allowing them to gain yards.  Take out Richardson's long td run and hes 18 carries for 60 yards.  That run game that went three and out came at a point that they could have thrown if they wanted or were able to.  When Texas ran the ball three and out in the first half, bama knew what they were going to do.  They didn't let Gilbert throw until third and long in the third series he played.  Easy pickins for bama's d.  Hell, you could say the longhorns coaching staff kept both teams from throwing the ball the majority of the game.  bama was not impressive or dominant in any facet of the game.

Alabama did dominate the game when they played they style that got them there.  The problem is they tried to play a different style of game at points for the some reason.  I am a big Saban fan and the coaching staffs but it seemed they were worrying about trying to out think them since they know each other so well.  Alabama all season dominated when they played their style of football. Their line is very good at run blocking but do struggle some with pass blocking that is why they give up more sacks then u would expect.   When they played their game they dominated them but when they went away Texas defense was able to play with them.

They ran for over 225 yards rushing against the best rush defense in the country.  That is more then the average on the season.  What would they have had to do to be considered dominant? Where you expceted them to run for 400 yards to be conisidered dominate.

The big is that everyone tries to compare what they did to the Florida game.  They could not have played a better game then they did in that game they were hitting on all faucets of the game.  This was just as dominate as the most of the other games they played but if you were expecting them to run for 300 yards and throw for 250 then you had way to high expectations.     Look at all the bowl games and see what happened to the games if you give teams a month to come up with a defense against any team they will stop them and slow them down.
