Had a nice easy winner Saturday with the over cashing early in the 4th quarter and ultimately covering by over 2 TD's. I had a golf outing in the morning and was drunk as hell by the time I got to the bar to watch the second half, so I don't remember much of the game, which I don't like because I watch these games closely in preparation for future wagers. Anyway, here's what I got for the big rivalry game with Wolverines....
Michigan State Pick 'em....Let me start off by saying that I try to remain unbiased for these wagers, afterall that is the only way anybody reading this gets any real insight. But this game is hard for me because of my strong hatred for U of M. That being said, I have bet on Michigan in this game before and have taken totals plenty of times, but flat-out, I see Sparty winning Saturday.
Michigan's 4-0 record is very misleading. They haven't played a road game yet, 3 of the 4 wins have come as a 14-point favorite or higher, and the 4th win was gift-wrapped and handed to them by Charlie Weis. The Wolverines are a dangerous team and vastly improved from last year, but they're still young, and this will be the first road game for this young team. Tate Forcier has already made more plays from the QB position than Michigan had all of last season, but the way he plays, he's gonna take some hits and pay the price. He's a little toothpick, and if Greg Jones gets ahold of him, it could be an early trip to the showers for "Little Man Tate."
Coming into this season, my personal knock on Dantonio was that he focuses too much on the game against Michigan. Well, here's his chance to somewhat redeem himself for the poor start to this season. If MSU loses this game, all of sudden, "Dantonio the savior" will really start to hear some grumblings. But a win Saturday could be a breath of fresh air for a team that needs some momentum desperately.
The Michigan defense got torched by Indiana last game and I think Sparty will have a field day moving the ball. This is really gut-check time for the MSU defense. They haven't stopped anybody all year except Montana State. I think they'll make enough stops/big plays to win this game. Michigan State 34, Michigan 23.

Bense did you read my response to your write up last week. I was on the money. I think over is the right play for this game, but you might be on the right side.

I say just take State 1H. I would not want to run the risk of having MSU for the game, just because of how many times they choke a game away. Also lets add in the fact that Michigan has struggled in 1st halves this season too.
I just hope State wins so Michigan fans can shut the fuck up and realize their team is not nearly as good as their 4-0 record.

Michigan started out -2 I think...Now line moving toward Mich St...hmmmm Michigan hasnt been on the road yet...Michigan has Iowa next week at Iowa...Mich St has a nasty defense...Im laying off this one, to close to call...but would have to agree with Mich St at home...Power and Stability State is the better team... gl

Good win last week with that over, I cashed in as well. I also took State 2nd half, and I got a miracle cover, with a Cousins 91 yard bomb to Keshaywn Martin with 9 seconds left. It was the best cover, from a piss poor Spartan performance.
On to this week. Honestly, I can't believe the line is at pick'em right now. I was thinking it would be +3, and a ml of +140 for us. We all know the betting public will be all over Michigan, so hopefully it will jet up again.
This game is always sweet, no matter what each others records are. Hopefully, Dantonio doesn't make the stupid mistake of switching in and out Nichol, as it has costs him multiple games this season. I agree with Dther85, that it will be a high scoring game as well, however, I'm with you again this week, thinking Sparty is the side to take.
Excited for this weekend, as its one of the best all year. Hopefully, we get some bounces and crush those little bitches. Nothing better to talk shit to all my Michigan buddy's.

DaPunisher- Yeah that over last game was nice, I could see this one going over as well but I don't like playing a side and a total in the same game. But I would definitely lean over just about any total that's posted.
Dther85- I know, I hear a lot of shit from U of M backers, their team really ain't that good.
zm12286- I like hearing that!!
Godfather16- That is true, therefore you would think Sparty focuses even more than usual.

Swizzol- That works for me, but I see it being a bit easier than that.
Freezy- You going to the game? I was gonna, but now we got some freackin' family pictures to take at 10:00 am, so I'm having a few people over to watch it. I really see us winning this one!!!

Check the weather report before you make a play, might be nasty weather there Saturday. Probably don't wanna play the over if their playing in a monsoon.

The line is now MSU -2. I can't believe that. Public wish push the game towards pick-em again, but my +3, will definately be non existant.
Won't be going to the game, going to the Lions/ Bears game in Soldier, been doing that with some buddy's for a few years now. Sucks that it falls on the same weekend. Looking at coming into town for the Iowa game as its a night game. That should be a wild day as well.

That should be public will push the line back to pick-em. We are supposed to have shit weather, I'm talking blowing rain, that could spell trouble for an over. Be careful on that.

Thanks Bense, This is the time of year I normally make weather part of my plays. My partners and I have a SITUATION ROOM meeting every Friday and discuss the pros and cons of the games we like. Thanks for the weather tip. Good luck on your plays.
