Someone explain the BYU line

At 10.5 I thought it was insanity. At 13.5 now is absolutely ridiculous. 

You could tell me about injuries, schemes, motivation, this and that all day. I get it.

But someone rationally explain this line please. If you use power rankings, sos, any and all metrics, it makes no sense.

Fwiw, I thought if the line opened TT -4.5 it would look fair.

I have a possible reason, tell me if I'm crazy. Are Texas oil $ holding folks just blindly betting on their Red Raiders here?

There are people that think byu is phony but if you bet texas tech now you deserve to be punished

Texas Tech is much better. 

Tech has a couple extremely rich boosters....including Cody Campbell....that has helped them with recent stadium upgrades...top notch practice facilities...and a huge payroll.....maybe they placed some huge wagers .....who knows ?

  * others range from 7-12 -  line 'should be' around 10' probably - betting has bumped it to 12/13.  True fr QB on the road vs a nasty defensive front.

Sagarin is only useful for SOS numbers - PR numbers aren't reliable at all, and have little predictive value.  Not bad if you want an educated guess at what a future line might be (for most games)......  

Only games with lines way off PR:

 * WV - who TF wants to bet Col

 * Indy - who TF wants to bet against Indy, or ON PSU.

 * EMU- BG dumpster fire

 * UCLA - Neb QB (overadjusted)
