Can anyone say fade Texas A&M? Maybe this kid is like Joe Willie Namath or Ken Stabler (hell Manziel looks like he is 45 already)...maybe he can get drunk and party the night before a game, and come out and light it up?
I know the official reason Manziel went home was due to "illness" or "dehydation" as his dad tweeted. I think that is Manning PR to maintain good relationships. Maybe the dehadration was a symptom of the "hangover" that he had for drinking too much...The bottom line is that he was poltitely shown the door...
This kid is a competitor and has athletic and leadership ability are unquestioned. But, in my opinion, he has added some negative "tarnish" to the Heisman mystique. Manizel is a case study why a "system QB" and a freshman should never win the Heisman, regardless of what they do...There should be some honor and maturity to winning this award (well except for Billy Sims who always acts like an OU ass clown at the Heisman ceremony). I doubt due in part to Manziel's off the field behavior that a freshman will win the award for at least 20 more years...

Many of the best quarterbacks that college football has to offer were in Thibodaux for the camp, run by Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and their father, Archie Manning. Manziel didn't complete the camp, however.
Manziel reportedly missed some assigned meetings and practice sessions as a college coach and counselor. According to Mortensen, the Manning Academy released a statement explaining the situation:
Johnny Manziel did participate in some activities in the 2013 Manning Passing Academy as a college counselor/coach. After missing and being late for practice assignments, Johnny explained that he had been feeling ill. Consequently, we agreed that it was in everyone's best interest for him to go home a day early.
This statement comes on the heels of rumors that Manziel was actually sent home for staying out late the night before and showing up tardy to practice sessions.
Rumors and Rantsoriginally reportedManziel's rumored debauchery, as a source with supposed knowledge of the situation told the site that Archie Manning was the one who sent Manziel home. Manziel was supposed to participate in the "Air It Out" skills challenge, but he didn't show up until noon and was reportedly asked to leave.
According to Northwestern State Demons play-by-play announcer and CBS Sports personality Patrick Netherton, the rumors appear to have some credibility, although Manning Academy officials have since denied them.

I've been to the Peyton manning passing academy when it was held in Hammond,la on the campus of southeastern Louisiana U, or SLU. It was very cool. Not sure why this chump fukked this up here.

Manziel, the Heisman Trophy-winning Texas A&M quarterback who will be one of the most intriguing prospects in next year’s NFL draft, left this weekend’s Manning Passing Academy amid reports that he was partying, reports that were denied by the Manning camp. Now Manziel’s dad is saying it was simply a matter of dehydration

dehydration from too many brewskies...of course Manning Camp is going to paint it in a reasonable light and say it was illness...maybe that illness is alcoholism???

Although I could care less what these athletes do off the field really......especially since I did a lot of the same stuff....... *I definitely will be looking to fade the Aggs......and quietly rooting for a massive sophomore slump for that rat terrier lookin' basterd Johnny Football.........
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

He s a college kid..no biggy. When its time to strap it on he will be ready IMO.
I agree with this. Hangovers last a day tops. I don't think any of this will keep him from doing what he does on the field once the season starts. I think A&M will have a season very similar to last season.

this won't be the last time the uber talented rat terrier gets into trouble.....as I posted somewhere......he's from a family of gangsters pretty much.....drugs.... counterfeiting......and cockfighting....in which the Manziel name is highly respected........

The revenge minded tide will provide a reality check and put a smack down on A & M, as an added bonus with all the Aggie love everywhere we might even get a decent number -

Bama has a tuff game vs Va Tech, but experience shows even when theyre favored by DD outside of conference they will cover. Then they have the all important bye week to prepare.

Johnny F missed more than just ONE meeting/workout.
And the "alarm clock, my phone died" excuse doesn't fly either. Each room has a clock radio in it you can set. Also, his roommate was AJ McCarron from Bama, who somehow, managed to wake up and get to the meeting Johnny F couldn't make.
No word, for reasons know only to AJ, on why he couldn't/wouldn't wake up his roomie. Must have been in a real deep "sleep"

Kind of disrespectful to both Mannings and their father.
Should not have even gone there in the first place. Hindsight.
For those who like Alabama this yr, you like to hear stories like this. I know the game will be tuff, and bama is only a one TD fav.
Nat'l Champ decided right there.
If Alabama loses, then maybe the NC may be decided...but I think you give A&M way too much credit. Their D stinks, bad...And Manziel will get his yards, and will throw a couple of picks and will get crunched. I am sure he will get up and act like its no big deal, but believe it or not, he's human, and when the 4th quarter starts, he will realize that he and his team have been injected with a dose of reality. Bama Big!

Bookie Assasin is right. Manziel family name has been changed from the original name but I forget what branch of the mafia his family is connected to. Clearly white trash by any name is still white trash. Rat Terrier works for me too.
Kid caught everyone by surprise last year. LSU handled him however. So did Florida. Bama played him after coming off a big game vs LSU. Oklahoma was a fraud as everyone knows by now. Sumlin will have his hands full this year with the departure of OC Kingsbury to Tex Tech. Manziel is just plain stupid and that will become evident this year without Kingsbury around.
