Colt doesnt play defense,, and Texas would not have put up 35 on Bama D.. its easy to say when You lost your play that it was the wrong side. Bama was favored for a reason, and won, 2nd half they were running clock, texas make a couple big plays, so Bama goes back to game plan, and calls misdirection run, and Playactions, Also, those WR could not get open, and when they did, they were dropping passes that were right in their hands. Colt didnt cause all the penalties. So although Colt would have given them a better chance, we all saw the same thing, and that was Bama dominated 1st half, even with Texas being cute on kickoffs and getting two possessions that were only FG inside the redzone. 2nd half starts and the Bama players do what all teams do when they know they have a team by the throat, they get conservative and kind of just wait for the inevitable to come, which was a Bama win,, Texas was not the right side. Texas D was smoked all night. By the Run, which was what anyone who picked texas would have checked as one of their reasons to take Texas.. But if you would have dug deeper you would have seen that the teams they played were not any good at the run ,, Big 12 stunk this year, trust me I know, I had to watch My Sooners look like crap against them all. So although there is a perfect excuse out there to use for why you may have lost, you can choose to use it or just say hey,, I was wrong. and will get it next year. Unless you are some amazing capper that hits over 85%.. then its okay to be wrong sometimes. Just my take on it,,
