How bad will Texas beat Ohio State?

Ohio State Fan here with my two cents.....
 
All indications are that Texas should have a letdown game.  A team can't help but be disappointed that they proved they were the best team in the country and are being shut out of the National Championship.  Come on People, Texas lost one game on the last play on the road to a good team.  Nobody else in college football can say that.  Florida loses in "The Swamp" and they get a pass.  The BCS is a total joke. 
 
Ohio State played well at Texas against Colt McCoy in 2006 and won the game.  Ohio State has played two very good teams in the bowl game the last two years.  Do you think Ohio State's players aren't hungry for a bowl win?  I don't think it is worth argueing that Ohio State has as much talent as Texas.  They might not, but they have enough talent to win the game, and they certainly have enough talent to cover the spread.  I think Ohio State shows up.  The recipe should be quite simple, run the ball, play solid defense, and play action pass to let Pryor make plays with his feet and arm.
 
Not going to predict a score but clearly Ohio State has a shot at winning this game outright.

sorry to tell yo but that bcs bull shit just pissed texas off.no way will they have a let down game all u can expect is texas best game of the year.your right they should be undefeated and they lost one game on  a fluke lucky prayer...i love your pic but i cant say i lke your reasoning...but good luck though...i am definetely not the smartest man in the world but watching two teams that u beat both get big help fom this bcs bull

canes i am just stating facts and go ahead and take those teams you are talking about; everyone gripes about the BCS but at least the computers take SOS into the mix which is why OU is number 1; they played 5 teams in the BCS and have the best SOS; last time I checked I dont check the BCS rankings to make my bets just admit you got schooled and give up your arguments are homer garbage and its obvious. LOL also why dont you list Georgia 3 more times instead of two the same team with 3 losses and got lit up by 40 in all of them; TCU would shut them down and you listed Ole Miss the same team that beat FL AT HOME; Texas not FL should be playing against OU losing to a 4 loss team AT HOME; unforgivable.

Historically teams don't perform well when they have a legitimate gripe with the BCS and turn around to play a decent team (Oklahoma vs Boise St statue of liberty game)  Team moral is low, these kids can't help but feel disappointed.  Disappointment is not a good motivator. 

Texas hasn't played a defense as good as Ohio State this year.  Ohio State's D will be fired up to play well after letdowns the last two years.  I'm not sure Ohio State will pull off the upset but i think they will be in the game.  As far as the spread goes, I got it at 10.5 which is way too many points

ohio st has covered that 10 the last 2 times they have played but lts face it...ohio st d..ummmmm okay but who do they play troy.michigan mich st northwestern...need i say anymore.atleast 3 of the teams that texas has ran up 30: on okla txas tech okla st misouri.kansas...now with this type of caliber of teams can change where someones defence ranks...im not criticizing u but ohio st defence really has not faced the fire power or defence that texas has handled this year.i mean realistically speakin usc is the only team that ohio st has played and they got drug...u think o st defence would be as good statistically speaking if they the teams that texas faced and coveredover. 2 td one a half is not a lot when texas is on the field....but in your favor u have history which repeats itself and that would mean o st should cover.but after this bcs thing teaxas and mcoy will be out for points..

For every idiot who wants to believe Ohio State is just some pushover team is ridiculous.  Coming on some of these message boards to read the BS that is constantly put on is funny.  Texas is a great team but Ohio State can win this game outright just as easily.  U really think Ohio will not get up for this game after that harrassment they have taken.  Please guys let your egos  go and my opinion is dont touch this game but if I where I would be taking the points.  Who knows Pryor could run all over Texas Just like Vince Young use to!!  Believe it or not Texas is not that much ahead of the Buckeyes.

and whoever said historically teams that get snubbed from BCS championships do pretty bad in bowl games is absolutely CORRECT.  What did Michigan do to Florida last year as a 10.5 dog whom!!!!!

Primetime - texas Tech was not lucky to beat Texas, they scored a TD in the last seconds , but they were driving for a FG which would have won it also. Tech actually dominated most of that game, BTW.

mtp ohio st is going to get clowned again. They need a new rule for the big ten. This conference is so bad teams should be eliminated from bowl contention with one loss. Have you seen Penn St. schedule next year. Try to read it outloud without laughing.

canes is any win a big win; give me a break; you think Cincy a team that normally sucks every year wins the big east and beats WV at WV not a big win; whats your definition of a big win; they are playing in a BCS bowl; how many teams have won at WV in 10 years; god your dont even have any reasoning; all you do is say OU beat tech big deal; and I guess Utah since they are not from the SEC is terrible; TCU at Utah loses 13-10; and are favored over undefeated Boise yea they are awful too. Your responses are becoming more laughable by the response keep em coming; hahahahhahaha.

Diamondjake College football is all about history and I would love to make some points on here I see nothing I can say will change your minds.  People please put your savings on Texas -9 or 10 whatever you want to think is exactly what the sportsbooks want.  USC would beat any team in the country and I would never bet against them versus anyone anyone.  I belive since the BCS era the BIg ten and SEC are about even in wins.  With Michigan dominating the SEC Wins against Arkansas Alabama Florida Vandy wont even count that one who cares bout Vandy.  Please research and know history because that is what makes  My point is a few down years by the BUCKS in big games have killed the big ten.  Im not saying Texas wont win but to hear everyone think its a blow out is hilarious it could go either way.  BEANIE WELLS is the man.

Only thing I will give you is that the BIG 12 is the best conference this year and that is only because Texas Tech actually won some good games!

Diamond jake, I don't think any of the conferences are really great this year. Last year the SEC was really good, and they suck for the most part, other than a few good teams. The Pac 10 is total crap after the top 4 teams. The ACC and Big east leave a lot to be desired. The Big 12 has 3 good teams, and then you have Mizzou and Ok st , who are are a stretch , as they can't beat anybody good. The rest of the teams are crap. The Big 10, you have a few top teams and then it drops off into mediocrity. There are just a ton of mediocre teams out there this year, more than ever it seems.

Okay but how is that when u scored with time expiring...on a rare miss tacke thats it...u went for it and hey crabtree came out on top.but to say that wasnt a lucky play is weird.

And this my friends, is why we should hate that there is not a true playoff system. 

I cap my games based on emotion and snubbings of this kind.  I realize Vegas takes this into account, but it still works for me.

Texas and Texas Tech would be great bets - given a playoff system.  Imagine if they had to play away because of an unfavorable seed. Combine that with the Heisman disses and I think I would be a very confident bettor.

Some of you do great research, well look at past bowl games.  How many times did teams with the better resume cover - or better yet, win?  You cap it like a regular game and you'll lose.

So Harrel and Texas Tech are mad about the way everything went down, are they going to take it out on Ole Miss?
What would crushing The Rebels prove? Most would forget about it before the start of the next bowl game.

The same is True for Texas.

It is a virtual guessing game. Your best bet is to follow local media and see what the players are saying, find out if they are truly focused and make a decision based on that. I know as fans, some of you don't believe it - but these teams might just be over the whole mess.

Texas will beat Ohio State so badly that Ike Turner will personally present the trophy to Colt McCoy.

Additionally, NATO will begin an investigation under the premise that creating this matchup violates the Geneva Convention. 

Fortunately there will be 3 worse ones to take the heat off them:  USC vs. Penn St. and Alabama vs. Utah, and Miami @ Cal.
