Think the biggest issue with haters is many no brainers following just picking your card with little to zero thought. I follow you to gain insight, which is much more in depth than mine, and then draw my own opinion on bets.
That process has worked for couple of years now and has worked very well. Your insight has changed my mind many times and when single game does not or not feel right in my own mind, I do not follow.

Yeah, great job this weekend man. Dayum shame about UAB, I also had them as a 4th on a 4 gamer, plus had well over a dime on them. No worries though, loaded up on the late games and had one helluva good weekend. Thats the 2nd time this year the final game has screwed me on a 100$ 4g parlay....keep on keepin' on.

I "Max Bet" Alabama @ Ole Miss in 2009 under eerily similar circumstances. Ole Miss was being hyped up as they are this season. Bama was -3 or -4, and won easily 22-3 in a game that wasn't as close as the score would indicate.
I also know that I "Best Bet" Alabama at home against Ole Miss in 2012. They were -31. Alabama won 33-14 and obviously did not cover. I believe I also had a 1st half bet in the game as well that did cover.
I may have had the 2011 @ Mississippi as a "Best Bet," but I don't think so. Alabama was -27 and won 52-7.
Nevertheless, I have only had Alabama and Ole Miss as a "Max Bet" one time in the past, and as I said, it was pretty much in identical circumstances - a heavily hyped Ole Miss team was short home dog. They also had a very good defense, but not much offensive firepower. I expect a very similar type game this time around. I think Alabama has a lot more offensive weapons this time around and will score in the low 30s. I think we'll see a score of something like 31-10.

See my write-up on this game in my Week 6 thread (Post #43). But for the fact that UAB completely self-destructed in that game, they should have won and covered. When you lose the turnover battle 6-0 - two of which were touchdowns for FIU - it's usually pretty difficult to win much less cover a 16.5-point spread.
It was a disgusting game, and to top it off, I lost the OVER by a half of a point because UAB missed an XP. 
Sometimes you just cap a game poorly and lose. No biggie. But this was not one of those games. The things that happened in that game were simply uncappable. It reminded me a little bit of the 49ers/Eagles game yesterday. The Eagles' offense didn't move the ball all day against the 49ers. All 3 of their touchdowns were non-offensive scores, and that was almost enough to pull of the upset on the road.

Oh definitely, you give the ball over 2-3 times you will not win, much less 6.
Hate to hear about that missed extra point being the reason the over didn't hit, I had the same occurrence earlier this year in the Ariz/SD Pro game...had 'em at -2.5, they went for 2 twice and didn't get it, and won by 1 point not to cover the spread. Such are the mishaps of gambling I guess.....you just never know.
