I am with you on LSU, and I am on them big as well. This LSU offense is probably the best offense I have seen, comes at you so many ways, aand has shown up against, perhaps, the 3 best defenses in CFB. I have no doubts on them, and this comes from aa person who thinks Venables is probably the best DC around (and the real reason for the Clemson run the past 5 years.) My only fear for the LSU defense but they are back healthy and playing solid defense, with the best group of DBs in the country. I believe Lawrence, who can get loose with the football, will struggle. Not arrogant enough to say Clemson cannot pull the upset, or cover, because they are the 2nd best team in the country, but they haven't had to prove it but once, and they had trouble then, LSU has proven it all season long. LSU by 10-14 points, just think the 42-27 prediction is a little too high on both sides...more like 34-23. GL to all the LSU backers, even when you are the better team, it never hurts to have a little luck.

And that is the defining difference to me because both teams are very good. But LSU has beaten 5 teams that were ranked in the Top 10, three of those had the best defenses any team could face, and they never missed a beat. Clemson has faced one top defense, osu. I am taking the team most proven to win against top teams.
Also thinking this game will be an under, all the talk is about the QBs but these defenses both have some serious talent. There will be some big plays but driving the field will be difficult to do.
