PENN STATE....errr We Are Nation from leaving

i am flattered Barry and I love the guy, but we were not going anywhere

a football school to go to a basketball conference?  nah
a prestigious academic institution with 28 academic all americans on their 2012 team and a school with the most first team academic all americans in the last 7 years in college football to leave a conference which prides itself on academics?  no way

its purely a cash grab Alvarez from the conference to get the east coast markets.

though a lot of penn state's old rivals from the independent days like Miami, Pitt (whom they just resumed a 4 year series with starting in 2016) and Syracuse are in the ACC no team is willingly jumping to the ACC by choice these days unless they get a fat tv contract.

so while it makes sense for the big 10 to do everything in their power to keep penn state as they garner the 2nd biggest tv market in college football (Notre Dame 1st), adding the Terps and Rutgers just furthers that tv area.

the only time penn state brought up leaving the conference was when they were jipped of an undefeated season when the refs added time on the clock in the michigan game in ann arbor, this after a clear catch by tony johnson was ruled incomplete to seal the game on the previous drive.  so instead of leave, paterno headed up a committee to get instant replay installed in the big 10 the following year as they were on of the first conferences with it instituted.

and we all saw how much that instant replay helped us against Nebraska this year in what USA Today has labeled "the worst replay in history of college sports"

oh well, still a great year at 8 wins from a great bunch of kids and bill o'brien hasnt seen a list without his name on it for coach of the year!

Acc academcially better than the Big 10? Are you serious?

Northwestern is considered one of top business schools in nation, arguably number 1, a degree at OSU and you are recognized around the world, not to mention schools like penn st, Michigan, etc.

Having academic all Americans on your football team does not make you a superior academic institution.

Of course, I'm serious.  Schools in the B1G are ... big, but ACC schools are better on average.

If you throw out Nebraska the Big 10 wins hands down. But with them brining the average down the acc has a slight edge followed by b10 pac10 and then the sludge in the other conferences with the sec an academic disaster along w Big 12.

Duke nw and Stanford all carry their respective conferences torch with a top nationally recognized outfit. The big difference gets into the public dynamics of education in northern vs southern states.

barry alvarez is part of his own scandal that was swept under the rug, like providing drinks and sexual abuse claims to underage girls, google it.

and there was actually not a known rape on penn state campus if you notice victim 2 has come out and said the mcqueary incident was not true he was not getting raped and sandusky was found not guilty on charges against victim 2, that was the only one where there was a rape/abuse charge against sandusky on penn state campus.

the media failed to report that like they should have if you are a truthseeker you know whom john ziegler is.

    https://outkickthecoverage.com/us-news-rankings-of-top-six-football-conferences.php

    1. ACC -- 51.2

    2. Big Ten -- 57.5

    3. Pac 12 -- 81.75

    4. SEC -- 98.7

    5. Big 12 -- 113.1

    6. Big East -- 130.6

It probably won't come as any surprise that the ACC's 14 schools -- I included Pitt and Syracuse -- averaged a 51.2 -- which is downright amazing -- but how about the top level strength in the Pac 12? Four schools in the top 25? Wow. And how about the bottom half of the Pac12? Ouch.

this seems biased for the ACC...they include Pitt and Cuse in there to up the ACC even though they are not in yet, but also include Maryland who like Cuse and Pitt are gone.  And Rutgers used in the big east still.  Guessing if you now add Maryland and Rutgers to Big 10 that changes this.  This poll has it both ways for the ACC.

My point is that if it did not happen in the actual locker room it still does not change the fact that there was a huge cover up involving many of the top people in the University regarding the entire scenario.
