Yes, their kicker is a far cry from what a big program like Arizona State should have. That said, Dillingham should have attempted the 25 and 21 yard FG’s. Those would have been good and every point matters when you’re playing a game like this. I can’t stand to hear these coaches use the cop out “we came here to win the game” when justifying going for it on one 4th down after another, when in fact just the opposite is true. If you’re truly there to do everything possible to “win the game”, then kick the gimmie chip shots and keep banking those 3 points. This keeps the pressure on the opposing team.
