Its great to know how fantastic you are as an athlete, so I'm going to assume you have actually lost a game. After a loss do all of your teammates look at the box score and then determine who the better team is, or do some of you actually believe the scoreboard is the only factor who the best team is? If you believe that a team with the better box score is the better team can you understand that some people actually believe that the scoreboard matters more than the box score? I'm sorry I don't know as much about handicapping as you do but do you have the coach film from that game that would give you a different view from the t.v. replay of it? And why don't you use the normal font size?
One of the coed games we lost to this year (by 1 run) was to a team we beat 25-4 the next time we played them. We are a far better team, it's not very close.
I am not a great athlete. I participate in "team" sports, and I play on some very good teams. It's one of the things that helps keep me very active.
I use a larger font because it is much more reader friendly, particularly when it's a long post (as I'm prone to do). On the other hand, trying to get through your post with a micro-font and no paragraphs is a chore.

Jimmy I wasn't talking about coed softball, I was assuming you played the one with pads and cleats. I am glad you are active because health is extremely important so i'm not going to bring that up again. What I'm saying is some people just believe the score matters more than stats that's it. If Alabama beat LSU I would have the same opinion no matter the box score.

Jimmiydafreak...I am the same way...Its a job...been cappin' over 30 years...I liked LSU in 1st gm...then spent a week in Bama after attending the Talladega race oct 23..I met and partied etc with a bunch of great Bama and Auburn fans...kinda drank the Bama coolaide and ended up making a large play on Bama...I have not really capped the NC gm yet...but leaning to Bama in 2nd gm. I had a ticket lined up for 1st gm for $400 but could not get back down to Bama for gm...I am in Delaware and would love to go to NC ...look forward to some good discussions with REAL cappers here...NOT Fans...

Yes I played real football. My career ended at the high school level.
You've made your score argument ad naseum. I get it. At the end of the day the score is all that matters to the schools and their fans because that's what determines the winner and loser.
But we are not players. Ostensibly we are cappers. Thus, we must take what we learned from the first game, and hope we can apply it to the second and arrive at a winning bet or two. For handicapping purposes, the score of the first game is largely inconsquential. Analyzing the manner in which team was able to attain their points and how the game played out (particularly in the trenches where most game are won and lost) is far more important.
The previous score is for fans, and not so much for handicappers. If you're an LSU fan, then congratulations. You got an outstanding hard-fought victory in a hostile environment against a very tough conference foe. But I don't think any of that is probative in handicapping the re-match.

espn is the only reason there is a rematch; idiots like may; holtz and herbs should just call it the SEC not the BCS; this game smells like an LSU blowout because Bama wont be home for this game

Hey Tappy- just remember, you mention that Alabama will be working on their execution and other things that didn't work well last game so they will be improved in those areas. LSU will be doing the same thing. If Miles wins this game i think people need to start realizing that this guy is a pretty damn good coach.Head up against Saban he has the better record. He can recruit, and his players love him. He is goofy and has had time management issues in the past but let's give the guy some credit.
IF LSU wins this game, and it is clear that Saban got out coached, I will certainly tip my hat.

Finally! Maybe he will understand this coming from you... Me trying to make the same point doesn't seem to click for this guy.

As far as the missed FGs and scoring opportunities............ LSU left more points out there than Bama. LSU kicked the FG from the 2 yard line final seconds of the first half. Also could have run it in in OT but didn't need to.

You are the ONLY one with that opinion... As I said before, PLEASE place a wager based on what you consider to be "home field advantage"... FYI, this is not as big of a home field advantage for LSU as death valley would be. ALL of my college friends have said they are all buying tickets to the game. Every Bama fan in Mobile I know already has a room, and most of them have bought a ticket. New Orleans, and the Superdome is a second home for people from Mobile, and the majority of those people are all Bama fans... Not that this matters, because there is nothing that would point out that home field advantage would play a factor in this game. Bama hasn't struggled at home or on the road at any point this season.
