After an absolutely brutal non-con for me, I took the last couple weeks to tweek how I evaluate teams/spots/etc.  We shall see how this conference season goes!

1*Coastal Carolina Chanticleers -1.5

The Chants haven't played a home game since Nov. 30th.  That should REALLY help their offensive numbers, and they could use the help.  But their defense is STOUT. 26th best in the country in eff. shooting% defense.  22nd in 2 pt% defense, and 78th in 3pt% defense.  I think being back at home gets the offense back on track, and the defense holds Southern off.

3* Wright St Raiders -5.5

This will be Milwaukees 3rd game in four days.  They beat IUPU-FW on Monday, turned around and lost @ Wisconsin on Tuesday, and now come to Dayton to face off with the Raiders.  Add in the holidays, and I'd imagine there isn't a lot of "want to" for them today. Milwaukee is also 3-0 in conference already, so they are probably due to drop one.

1* UC- Davis Aggies -3.5

The Aggies got swept by CSUN last year, so there is a revenge angle, but I think Davis is the much better team.  They turn their opponents over almost 20% of the time.  They take high probability shots, and shoot free throws very well as a whole.  CSUN relies on the three ball, and they don't shoot it all that great.  Turnovers limit possessions, and Northridges defense isn't good enough to keep them in this one.

3* Northern Arizona Lumberjacks +5.5

Montana just lost to NAIA Montana Tech two weeks ago, and then got curb stomped by Louisville.  They haven't played in since the 20th of December.  There will be rust on that offense, and their defense isn't good enough to overcome that.  The line opened at 7.5, the public hammered Montana, and the line moved back down to 5.5.  Take that however you see fit.  

1* Queens Royals -4.5

Another team coming off a long break, EKU hasn't played since the 21st.  Now they travel to Carolina to open the conference against the offense in the ASUN.  And they bring with them the 305th rated defense.  Queens played Saturday (got throttled by Auburn, but played nonetheless), and return home after three straight games of getting their ass kicked by P5 programs.  Tonight is where they take that frustration out. 

2* Utah Valley/Tarleton St Over 143.5

Valleys offense goes at a top 100 pace, and are top 40 in efficiency.  They do have a turnover issue, but that isn't such a bad thing for an over, as it can lead to quick, and easy buckets for the opposition. Tarleton will also like to run tonight, and they don't really much care about what happens on the defensive end of the floor.  They just want to score more points than you, however many that may need to be. They've played 4 other top 100 ranked teams, and all but one of them put up 90+.  

1* UC- Riverside Highlanders +9.5

Hawaii is 12-2, which looks great until you see they've played the second easiest schedule in the entire country.  Add in the fact that they haven't played on the mainland in almost 2 months, and I think it all hits them like a ton of bricks.  Playing against a team with a heartbeat (although its a faint one), traveling from Hawaii, and not having played since December 13th is a big problem for me.  Im gonna sprinkle some of the moneyline of this one. 

1* Northern Iowa Panthers -9.5

Indiana St is coming off a huge OT win over Belmont on Monday.  Perfect let down spot against a very good UNI team whose defense has been elite so far.  Nothing comes easy, and they make you grind out any production you get offensively.  Indiana St also has a loss to Alcorn St on their resume...EWWWW.

1* San Diego/Cal Poly Over 172.5

The Mustangs are the 2nd fastest tempo in the country, they take a ton of 3s, shot it well as a whole, and turn the ball over like crazy.  Everything you could want from a team if you're betting the over.  San Diego is no stranger to offense either. Currently the 17th most efficient bunch out there.  They also shoot the 3 very well as a whole, and take quite a bit of them as well.  If shots are going, this one cruises over.

1* UC Santa Barbara/Cal St. Fullerton Over 157.5

Santa Barbara is going to be missing its best on ball defender in Miro Little, and I think that plays well for the Titans and their guards who like to run.  To the tune of 4th fastest in the country.  They waste no time getting up shots either, as only two teams have shorter possessions on average.  While the Gauchos run a slow offense, it is very efficient, so their pace doesn't worry me with how bad Fullertons defense is. 

2* Murray St. Racers -5.5

The Racers are rollin right now.  Winners of 6 straight and 3-0 in conference.  UIC, not as fortunate.  Losers of 6 straight vs DI opponents.  They are terrible at finishing possessions with a rebound, and the Racers excel at hitting the offensive glass.  The Flames don't have the firepower to stay in the this game, with how the Racers are playing at the moment.
