this happen to anybody?

so i had a huge parlay bet

FH ML

Indiana 

Alabama

So indiana pushed and bama won but my book cancelled the bet and i asked why i didnt win the bet for less money 

they told me a 2 team parlay cant revert down to 1 bet

I have never heard of that or ever happen to me i dont think

Has that always been a thing?

I'd read the house rules, it's where you'll find your answer.

Not to me as I almost never bet parlays.

However, word of advice:

Either save that online chat conversation into a text file *AND* do a print screen of that key portion where they said it CAN'T revert down to a single bet.....OR..... send them an email CONFIRMING your conversation and acknowledging what they claimed.

 You do this to "save the evidence" in YOUR favor, just in case on a later date something similar happens and you lose that single bet and the new guy at the book counts it as a LOSS!!!  ie, they move the goalpost on you!  THAT shite has happened to me twice but luckily I kept the evidence the second time and they reversed their decision against me... 

  You gotta secure the evidence and I find that sending a CONFIRMING EMAIL about the conversation is *ALWAYS* the best idea!  BoL

But usually, when a 2 teamer has 1 push, it reverts to a single play which is a winner for you.

Leave that book.

i saved it ....it gives u the option in the chat to save transscript

its betonline and i been using them forever and never have issues with them at all,

i think the person i was chatting with was dumb....idk

i did create the bet through the props builder , only one i can bet fh ml on ncaab using betonline

Yeah it always goes back to a single bet. The only time it doesn't work is if it was a teaser, since you can't have a 1 team tease

I wouldn't trust that book with my money. They screwed you once, they will screw you again.

Check to see if the decision is consistent with their house rules.  If not, file a complaint with your State's gaming commission.  If their decision was consistent with house rules, that book sucks.

In Vegas I've had two-leg parlays revert to a straight bet when one leg pushes and another wins.

Never, never parlay revert to a push when one team is pushed and the other team won

... there is no such rule!!! ask them to point you to rule, where it is printed!!! report them because they are cheating.

Years ago, there was a book that put out a daily parlay card with flat lines where a push was a loss. It doesn't seem right, but it was their rule. 

If a two team parlay can't revert down to one bet, I'd argue that if one leg pushes and the other leg loses, give me my money back.

just spoke with them again and it has to do with what type of bet i placed. props bets

thats the only way i can bet ncaab fh ml is in props builder

i did ask if 1 loses and 1 push would i get my money back and they said hell nah....lol

Should of asked: If I push 1 bet and the other half of the parley loses, is it a no bet wager> Dude I'd be pissed. No way a push and a win on a parley is a no bet. Even back in the old gambling halls where I was educated in gambling that would not fly.

 I bet parlays all the time and win- especially two team parlays. I always love hearing from the "sensible" bettors that they never do such a thing- if you can handicap properly then 2 team parlays aren't nearly as daunting. Sometimes I take a single and parlay the entire win into a later game.

I do understand the logic though- learned during the Lem Banker days of sportsbetting- before computers, AI, and simulations. One time I am in the casino and another bettor says "Why turn a winning bet into a losing bet?" I replied "if you win one and lose the 2nd?" bet singly you would still lose the juice. Essentially no difference.

Many years ago, late at night, I put together a 9 team parlay near the end of the NFL season. Ten bucks. Big whoop. So I hit this thing, along with a four teamer for 1300 in the afternoon. 4250+1300. Fekkin cashier at the Gold Coast sneers at me and says, "how did you hit this thing?" Real shitty like. I said we had cable TV in Idaho just like everyone else. Gave me the stink eye and so I stiffed him- cost him about 250 bucks.
