Make no mistake, KSU is damn good. I just don't believe that their strengths necessarily play to Kansas' weakness. I also think that the electricity in Bramlage could be so much and the players so wound up that they get off to a slow start shooting because they are a little tight, if this is the case they don't need Kansas to get off to a fast start.. This game is getting a LOT of attention and I think that attention will affect KSU more than Kansas.
I could be completely wrong however.......being wrong has happened to me with alarming frequency this college b-ball season.

If Aldrich and Morris continue to play this well it will open up the offense and players like Reed and Morningstar will get open looks from beyond the arc. Reed has shot very well this year and Morningstar is a capable shooter as well.......any production out of Taylor is good. If he doesn't make mistakes he will provide good minutes, but mistakes are something he can provide.
Should be a very exciting atmosphere. Kansas State is a very good team but I think Kansas will win this one and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 10 point margin of victory......that said, I won't be playing this game, just enjoying it on the television.

mmac66 - i know you're listed as South Africa, but you must be a KU fan. Over the past few years you seem to have a really good feel for the team and your analyses are usually pretty spot on.
I expect a huge game from Collins tomorrow.He absolutely thrives in this sort of game (I'm sure you remember his shootout w/ Willie Warrne in Norman last year, f'n sick!).
Gay St. jumped out big last year at home (around 14 I think), and Collins rallied the troops, pulling them within 1pt at half. They were able to feed off the crowd early, but KU settled in and the crowd never really affected them again. Then KU was the more disciplined and better defensive team in the 2nd half.
I think you're absolutely right on KSt not being a great discipline team. They take way too many quick, bad shots. And they're going to have to make jump shots well to win tomorrow, because your definately right on Aldrich being back. He was sick early in the season and couldn't quite get healthy. Then he had his grandma die who he was really close to. Now though he seems to be focused and is completely controlling the paint, erasing shots left and right. And HOLY MARCUS MORRIS! Where did this come from?
Getting Morningstar back from 1st semester suspension was huge, even though it's not the type of thing that get's a lot of attention. He's our best perimeter defender and a solid shooter. Oh, and the guy he replaced in Tyshawn Taylor fucking blows. I hope he does transfer like he was twittering about. Might make Brandon Knight's college decision easier if Taylor isn't there to take minutes from him.

blstuart - I graduated from Kansas 20 years ago.....I follow the team closely and always have. As I said though, I wouldn't play this game and I'm happy to bet either on or against my team. This spot is a no play for me.
As for Tyshawn Taylor, he's a mess but I hope he gets his head right and sticks it out at Kansas. He's actually been productive in his minutes since the Baylor game. If he cuts down on his mistakes, which for the last three games he has, he can be a very productive player.
Should be fun on Saturday night.

I think you're dreaming if you think that your signature win against Texas means you're in the same class as Kansas. Texas does not play D anything like a contender for the NCAA.....KU does. Kansas has their eyes on claiming that #1 ranking and probably the #1 seed in the country, and they have a pretty good track record against your team too, I don't think Collins or Aldrich will be phased by your crowd in the least, I actually expect them to play at a higher level, because that's what great collegiate players do. You have no great players on your team.
I am not a Kansas fan, actually I'm an Illini fan, so I really can't stand Bill Self. The fact is that Self can coach, will have his team ready, and your little hothead is not in the same league with Self.
Bottom line, you're in the group of teams that making the sweet 16 will be called a great year. Kansas is a team that expects the Final 4 ....at least ! Big class differnce !

KSU has created a DC/Md pipeline lots of talented kids play HS ball in this area....KSU has a chance 4 the outright,if they can keep Aldrich off of the glass,he was a monster against the Tigers on Monday night,the loss of his grandma must have been very hard on him..Great game 2 watch,bet it,no 2 tough 2 call,GL
