COLLEGE BASKETBALL TODAY PLAYS (3/1)

YTD (CBB):  118-93-2 ATS (BIG PLAY!!!: 31-24 ATS)

One big play, one big win last night.  Back on a roll after a disastrous outing last week and a near miss accident that left me woozy but might have knocked out that bad streak I had found myself on.  Joking aside, huge slate of games again today so I'm trying to pick my spots and will probably just keep adding to this thread.

Of note, some really tasty early games that I am taking a hard look at.  Heartbreak for Maryland on Wednesday night and they typically do NOT play well at PSU, but do I go against a team that can trash the other?  Or how wildly inconsistent is UCONN, are they trustable?  And the early games have tended to start off scoring slow, will that be repeated?  All things I'm thinking about but here is what I am already on:

OVER 145 (BUTLER/VILLANOVA)...BIG PLAY!!!:  Right out of the gate with this one but the Bulldogs have gone 6-3 to the OVER in road games and Villanova is an impressive 11-6 to the OVER on their home court.  Add to that 11 out of Butlers' last 13 games have gone over and 13 out of the last 17 played between these two anywhere have gone over, and I'm backing this one no matte the start time.  

ST JOSEPHS (-8):  The Hawks have been impressive when playing Fordham, going 12-6 ATS over the past 18 games.  Fordham, while mildly improved, is awful at home, going a mediocre 8-6 SU and even worse, 0-6 ATS on Saturday games.  

KENTUCKY (+5)...BIG PLAY!!!:  At some point, all teams in CBB lose.  They just do and while Auburn is impressive, they are also a paltry 1-18 SU in their last 19 games at Kentucky!!!  That's pretty darn awful and while the players and coaches might have changed over the years, it seems the trend does not.  Auburn is also just 4-4 ATS in away games while Kentucky is 9-7 ATS on their home court.  Grabbing a handful of points while also fixated on that trend is enough for me to make this a big play as well.

SOUTH CAROLINA (-1):  Arkansas coming off a big emotional win.  They typically play poorly in South Carolina going 2-5 ATS and play poorly on the road regardless of where they are, chiming in at 5-15 SU in those past 20 affairs.  I know the Gamecocks aren't exactly a top SEC team but they also are not complete pushovers and are 10-6 ATS on their home court.  If they were slightly better this would be a big play.  I've seen this script before and I'm going to back the outcome that usually comes with it in a letdown spot for Calipari and Arkansas.

Adding these in now...

DAYTON (-14):  They are far better than Rhode Island and own them both ATS and SU.  Lot of points to drop but for good reason

DUQUENSE (+2):  8-2 both ATS and SU vs. George Mason over the past 10 played, I can't turn a blind eye to those stats.  If the Dukes were somewhat better this would be a big play but for now keeping it how it is.

UNDER 159 (ALABAMA/TENNESSEE)...BIG PLAY!!!:  Tennessee has played great defense at home.  Alabama can score on anyone.  BUT...the total is high and this will be a very hard fought game so I don't see either team running it up on the other.  Add to that the UNDER is 9-1 ATS in the past 10 these two have played, and I'm very comfortable making this a big play.

GEORGIA TECH (-3.5):  NO idea why this spread is so low but it does make me scratch my head when you take into account that NCSU are 3-10 ATS in the past 13 H2H's played AND they are a far cry from the team that made an NCAA run last year.

Will be back a bit later if possible, that should be a good amount to gage how the day is going.  I encourage everyone to do their own research as well.

Great start to the BIG PLAY!  Gonna obviously need a lot more in the 2nd half.  St. Josephs woke up finally, I would bet them 2nd half they should roll too.

I certainly hope so...as much as I hope MD plays a strong 2nd half as they usually do so you can get over the number

Can’t believe butler and nova went 3 minutes without scoring in the second half.

Over barely hits but I thought it was gonna be stress free lol

3-0 to start hitting the 2 unit BIG PLAY (somewhat easily).  Also hoping you guys jumped on St. Joseph's in the second half but if not hopefully enough of you tailed that play as well.  South Caroline also humming early but I know how these games can suddenly flip.

These Saturdays have been really extreme so it's good to get off running and heading to the extreme profit.  Loads more games to go but super happy so far and hoping Kentucky can stay in the game and potentially make a late run to even win it.

It's college basketball, they all seem to have that at some point in games.  I mean there are other people posting plays that are much much more stressful I can guarantee you.  Always surprised me how so many people follow without doing their own research.  I always encourage that but happy that you tailed the winner

i was on the same play and thought it was funny how close it got when it was flying over for most of the game.

Adding two big plays...really love both of these:

OVER 152 (USC/OREGON)...BIG PLAY!!!:  Two ex Pac 12 teams square off in what is now a Big10 battle.  So familiarity will not be an issue.  What will be an issue is defense, as both teams are in very good situational spots.  The Trojans are 7-0-1 to the OVER in their road games this year and the Ducks are 8-6 on their home court to the over.  

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE (-5)...BIG PLAY!!!:  I backed SEMO the other night and got the rewards as they both won on the spread and SU as a dog, also helping me cash my parlay.  The only difference with tonight is they are a road favorite but are in another great spot playing a team they have gone 8-2 both SU and ATS over the past 10.  Furthermore, the Redhawks are 9-5 ATS on the road this season while the Panthers are 3-7 ATS on their home court.  Same outcome as the other night, a SEMO win and cover.

Will probably be back later and update the record.  Definitely dropping two units on Kentucky, just Auburn looking too good and they are not shooting well.  I guess miracles can also happen but I had one of those earlier this week with my accident...

USC/OREGON at 150 now
