Just to start, I'm a Utep grad and huge fan, I've seen all their games this season, either live or on tv. When this line came out I was kind of surprised it was so low. Couple factors to consider here before taking a side.....
Utep had a great home court advantage, I think this was a major factor on the number lv came out with.
Second, Utep has lost all games by a close margin including undefeated Washington and Colorado st. Only other loss was to new Mexico st but that's a huge rivalry they play twice a year
But also consider that in all those games and a few that they've win, they have had to come back from double digit leads. They have a ton of fight in them.
But Utep is young, they have a freshman points guard, and they're best player and leading scorer is a sophomore who tends to try to hard in big games.
Also the big men get into foul trouble every game
Arizona as we all know it's big inside and very skilled, lots of experience in their lineup at almost every position. I think if they jump out in utep it will be tough for utep to come back on this team.
This game is Sold out, the city is ready for this game and the atmosphere will be electric. I'm just not sure this young team is ready.
Bet where you but careful taking Utep. I will be at the game but I will have my money in AZ. Good luck tonight
