Since 2006, 2 of the 5 games have ended in 10 or more pts, and going back 1 more year it would be 3 of the 6, so they arent exactly close all the time.
Cincy has dominated at home this year. They smashed up Dayton earlier in the year, and I know their schedule hasnt been bruising, but they have been handling business each and every game. Most recently they beat SH by 17 (-9 spread) and they have won their last 8 games by 10 or more pts, including a handful of games where the spread was under 10.
I fully believe that Xavier can hang tight, but something just doesnt seem right here. It has been a down year IMO for X, and with the injury to top bench guy Canty, their team is even thinner. Their bench is to be desired and Tu plays 40 mins a game, and the rest of the starters are out there much too long. This team is going to tire out. Luckily for them, their skills should be good enough to go 10-6+ in conference play.
I just dont like Xavier in this spot. I would lean Cincy. I know it isnt a popular pick, and at -9, I wouldnt play it, but if it drops a couple of points, I might. Xavier has had trouble shooting all year (esp the 3), and can get beat on the glass. Cincy has a great rebounding team stats wise and their defense is styfling. Im not so sure how X is going to be able to score so easily tonight.
Xavier has not been that impressive on the road this year.

Cincy went into MIA OH and won easily by mid DD's.
I dont like to tell anyone what to do, but I know what I wont do, and thats take Xavier tonight...

I could go on and on about it, but Id lean Cincy, and wouldnt touch X with a pole.
