After another middling week up 1.5 units, we return for week 9! Hopefully this is the week things take off.
BC @ Winnipeg (-7.5) - I think this one is shaping up to be a blowout. As much as I liked the Kaidon Salter signing, this is a horrible spot for him to come into. The injury list is a novel, and not having James Butler stings. Going into a tough enviornment, this one is going to be a tough one to overcome. Salter looked fine in garbage time, but I can't image a short week will be helpful.
Picks:
Winnipeg -7 -132
Nic Demski Over 59.5 receiving yards
Brady Oliveira Over 60.5 rushing yards - I took this earlier today as it felt so low. It keeps crashing. Why? I get he didn't practice, but I don't see any reason he would be inactive. If it's a blowout, we may see a ton of runs and their OC has been taking major heat for not using him. I think this is a good opportunity to get him involved.
A few parlays for fun: 1. Winnipeg -3.5, Salter O243.5 passing yards, Demski O64.5, U27.5 1H. 2. Oliveira over 60.5, Winnipeg -6.5, U27.5 1H
If they offer any Salter rushing props, I will take the over. Kid can move.
Montreal @ Ottawa (+6.5)
On open, I took Montreal with the mindset that this would steam to 10 and I could shoot for a middle. I don't think that will happen, but this Montreal team is just so much better. That said, Ottawa has covered some big numbers and this is a big game for them. I don't love the -6.5 I took, but I wouldn't bet Ottawa at anything under 7.5.
Picks:
Montreal -6.5 (-122)
Travis Theis Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Calgary @ Hamilton (+4.5)
This feels like a spot Calgary should dominate, but it feels fishy to me. I think the Stampeders should be able to get this done, but I won't take a side. If Tre is anything, he should be able to cook this Calgary D. I might look at his rushing yards.
Lean: Tre Ford Rushing Yards
Early line for Week 10 had Calgary/Toronto O/U at 70.5... that's crazy.
Saskatchewan @ Edmonton (+1.5)
This line has flip flopped a bit and I do think Saskatchewan is a side but I also think Edmonton could be very motivated with a record crowd at Commonwealth for a Elks game. This should be the game of the week though, and if you gave me 3 on either side I would probably take it.
Lean: Saskatchewan ATS
Pick: Austin Mack Over 66.5 Receiving Yards
