Hey everyone! After a successful week 6, I went 8-3 up 6.4 units. I went big on the Bombers which made for a good week! After Alberta went legal, I have more options to place bets.
BC @ Edmonton (-3.5)
It feels a bit like a trap, but I am going back to the Lions this week. They just beat them in Kelowna 2 weeks prior so it may seem like a Edmonton revenge spot but the truth is Nathan Rourke owns these Elks. In his career he is 5-0 with 15 Passing TD and 1800 yards passing against the Elks. BC is coming off a bye where they got a new special teams coordinator, and time to work on more of their issues. Edmonton beat up on a bad Ottawa team and could have over-inflated confidence.
Bet: BC +3.5 (-118) Fanduel
Montreal @ Calgary (+1.5)
This was a good game last week, but I think Calgary felt closer than they really were. Davis Alexander was on fire, and Tyson Philpot was too. Davis had some hamstring issues flare up again, but as long as those stay away I lean Montreal as Calgary's pass D is horrible. No bet on sides for me but I do like some props.
Bet:
Tyson Philpot over 94.5 Receiving Yards (-114) FD. - Back in his hometown, I see no reason for Tyson to slow down. After hitting this in the first half last week, I expect him to torch Calgary's weak pass D again.
Jalen Philpot over 59.5 Receiving Yards (-114) FD. - Yup, I am going for the Philpots this week. Jalen will be motivated after his brother's strong week, and VA can air it out. This feels low to me. I am going to play it alone, but also in a SGP with his twin brother.
Toronto @ Hamilton (+4.5)
As expected, Hamilton looked brutal last week. Dolegala competed, but just didn't have the execution against Saskatchewan. However, Toronto is in a equally poor spot. Chad Kelly has been solid, but he leads the league in INT's. Besides that, they continue their horrific travel with road game 6 coming back across the country. They admitted to be tired, and I bet this continues (P.S. they go back across the country again next week. Yikes). That said, can one really bet on Jake Dolegala? I don't know. But I think if this gets to 7, it's a play. People will look to fade Hamilton (rightfully so), so this line could steam. I think this could be sluggish, so I will take the under.
Bet:
Under 55.5 (-105) FD
Kiondre Smith Over 53.5 Receiving Yards (-114) FD - Watch Kiondre's interview from the last game. He is a leader, and he took total accountability for their loss. As bad as Dolegala was, my god the receivers were awful. I expect a motivated group, and he went over this number last week with the same bad QB, and a much tougher defence. Over in all 5 games this season. I love this play.
Winnipeg @ Ottawa (+4.5)
The Dru Brown revenge game. I think that is the only option at this point as betting on Ottawa is just not feasible anymore. If they turn to MBT at QB, this line should be north of a TD and I will take his unders. Dru is going to be very motivated against his old team, and with how Ottawa's season has gone, it's hard to see him not be successful. I do think it could be a bit sluggish, but this just screams like 35-10 to me.
Bets

Dru Brown Over 320.5 Passing Yards (-120) bet365
