BC +5.5 @ CAL Going to be only 10-12C with 70% chance of showers. The lions have their QB1 back with their defense steadily improving over the last couple weeks (albeit against backup QBs). Horvath is starting over Butler. This is a field goal game that could go either way. 32-29 Stamps
OTT @ WPG -6.5 Ottawa released more players this week this time a pair of DBs. They also got pushed around in the trenches on both sides of the ball by the Riders. Collaros is starting for the Bombers and they're coming off a bye after an embarrassing 16 point loss at home to a 3rd string QB with BC missing more players then I can count. This is the perfect statement game for the Bombers. There may be some rain in this game as well. The Bombers had time to think about the awful loss before the bye and are now back at home playing a winless Ottawa team in complete disarray. 36-18 Bombers
TOR +3.5 @ EDM Toronto turned the ball over 5 times last week and still beat the Stamps. Their defense is starting to show an identity. Kelly is not afraid to take those deep shots. The Elks have now played the Riders twice and the Alouettes in their last 3, that will take a toll on a team. Another tightly contested game with the Elks squeaking out a 2 point win after the embarrassing beatdown last week in Montreal. 29-27 Elks

SK -7.5 @ HAM I know the Riders have lots of injuries. I know 8 points is a huge spread. But just think about this for a second...who is going to stop the Riders on basically anything 2nd and 3 or less? Tommy Stevens is almost 100% automatic. If harris doesn't pick your defense apart, then Stevens will run over it instead. Or both of those things happen. The Riders are better in the trenches on both sides of the ball and have a backup QB built like a train. That will tire out a defense pretty quick. Stevens is the ultimate X-Factor. Did you watch last week in the 2nd half how Ottawa's defense just started giving up? They had no fight left. The Riders still are deep at WR. The Riders are so well coached that Mace will randomly quiz his depth players to make sure everyone stays sharp. This is a very well ran organization. I've watched the Riders for the past 30 years and never have they been a more cohesive, well knit, well coached, family like team then they have been these past couple years. And it shows on the field. Harrison Frost hasn't even gotten his feet wet yet. 35-20 Riders
