CFL is back! Keeping this short and sweet for the first couple weeks.
OTT @ SK -3
Ottawa should have a high powered defense with Dru Brown now in year 2 and Ottawa adding Eugene Lewis and William Stanbeck in the offseason. BUT Ottawa will be without 3 OL including their top player. They'll also be missing 2 DL and 1 DB.
The Riders will also be playing without 3 OL and 2 DB, but with the Riders playing at Mosaic in their home opener I like them to take advantage in the trenches on both sides of the ball and force Dru into lots of quick and short passes. The Riders have a top run D and should shutdown Stanbeck. Add in the crowd noise and Ottawa will have a tough time doing much of anything. Riders will be ready and hungry, win and cover.

TOR @ MTL -4.5
The Argos lost a pile of guys from last year and Chad Kelly is also not playing in this one with Arbuckle getting the start. Montreal also plays very well at home (it's those damn air horns). The Argos could also be dealing with a Grey Cup hangover.
The Als are taking a big risk handing the reigns to Shaun Alexander and getting rid of Fajardo. Alexander played great last year and played hungry like he really wants it. He can also run if he needs to. Let's see if he can translate it to this year with teams having more film and prep on him. Mustafa Johnson is also out which is a big blow to the Als D. Give me the Als to win and cover. The Argos are going over a lot of turnaround and playing without their QB1. Montreal wins and covers.
