Blue Bombers @ Stampeders opening line is a joke

If you have access to bet365 or Caesars Sportsbook, I would bet Blue Bombers -165 @ Calgary Stampeders Thursday. 

IMO, this line should be -200 (no vig). I expect this line to start climbing throughout the week. Calgary has wins over the Ti-Cats, who are 1-2, and the Argos with Nick Arbuckle. (Don't let last year's Grey Cup fool you; Arbuckle is not a starting-calibre QB).

CGY with 11 days off, a perfect 3-0-0 ATS.

CGY scored 8-13 pts, FOR, in their last game, a perfect 4-0-0 ATS.

I am a little confused with this line?

The eye test says WPG but CGY has a history of performing well in this spot.

This is very interesting. Brady Oliveira returns against the Stamps and Dalton Schoen is kickin butt. There is going to be a time that Vernon Adams Jr is going to have a bust out game. Thursday night against the Bombers at home, isn't going to be it.

Tough game.  So CGY is 2-8-0 SU last 10 games vs WPG.  That makes better sense.

Still this is the night before the Calgary Stampede starts on Friday.

The game should be sold out?

These 2 teams allow the fewest points per game so far this year.  What better time to take the Over 50.5

Even if CGY just gives away half the tickets, that stadium should be full & rock'in!

Overall since 1996, the O/U rec is 16-17-0 between these 2 teams.  Last 10 games the O/U rec is 4-6-0

If this was week 14 or so, I would say take the under & CGY with 11 days off, since 1996, 0-3-0 to the under.  However the league is 9-3-0 to the over with 11 days off, is CGY due for an Over on Thur Night Football?  

The Over is 24-14-0 when WPG plays as an away team, coming off a home win, as a fav, last 10 years.

The Over is 9-3-0 for CGY, when played as a home team, after a non Conference game, last 4 years.

This could be a 14-7 type of game BUT this month, on this week, on this day, I see no reason why the city of CGY, does not want, this game to be a bit of a showcase for the city & kick off The Calgary Stampede!

Last year week 5 WPG was @ home playing OTT.  Score 16-25 for WPG.  CGY was on the road in MTL, score was 26-30 for MTL.

So both these teams can put up numbers, even though they allow the fewest pts per game so far this season.

Rather than pick a side, I agree with newmarket, I am on the Over 50.5
