How is everyone coming along in their quest for the 25 consecutive wins? I just started this month and I definitely think 2014 is the year!
Perhaps if we divide up the sports into indexes like NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, College Ball, etc. that would increase our probability of success. If we have proven experts in each field we can select the best picks of the day/week.
It definitely seems like the name of the game is discipline, patience and proper game selection.

1 down and 24 to go! I am taking a shot with NIU tonight. I am hoping that USUs defense is overrated a bit and also hoping that the 3rd string QB will play most of the game.

Just an observation on my part. In College Football especially during the Bowl season I have played an angle that works a majority of the time. I don't have any raw numbers going back years but like I said it seems to pay off more times than not. The Southern teams seem to beat the Northern and Eastern teams with regularity. The only times I don't play this angle is when they play a West Coast team. West Coast teams tend to give the Southern boys more of a fight. But if it's a Northern team or a East Coast team take the Southern boys even the Rocky Mountain states lose to the Southern boys with regularity. Midwest teams also tend to lose to Southern teams but its not as clear cut as the Northern and East Coast teams.
This bowl seasons results is 8-3 using this angle. I don't count when the Southern teams play the West Coast. I do count when they play Texas teams. Here are the results for this year so far in games that qualify.
LSU over Iowa, Central Florida Over Baylor, South Carolina Over Wisconsin, Mississippi St. Over Rice, North Texas Over UNLV, North Carolina Over Cincinnati, East Carolina Over Ohio, Texas Tech Over Az St. The 3 losses would be Texas A&M Over Duke, Pittsburgh Over Bowling Green and Nebraska Over Georgia.
If you do straight geography you would be amazed how often the team that is further South beats a Northern team. Sometimes when I can't decide on a game I just pick the team that is the most South. Like I said it does pay especially in these Bowl games. One last note as I mentioned earlier about the West Coast teams being the exception. 2 Bowl games featured West Coast teams against Southern teams. Oregon defeated Texas and UCLA defeated Virginia Tech. West Coast teams tend to give the Southern teams a tough time.
