Nunes vs Spencer betting preview
Nunes is arguably the most dominant fighter in the UFC, holding both the women's featherweight title (which she’s defending on June 6) and the promotion’s bantamweight crown. But while Nunes has laid waste to some of the biggest names in the sport – Cris Cyborg, Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate – she looked far from invincible in her most recent bout with Germaine de Randamie back in December.
Nunes proved her toughness in that matchup, eating some hard kicks, knees and punches from de Randamie in the second round, which left her gassed for the remainder of the five-round fight. Using her strength, takedowns, and her punishing ground-and-pound style, she eventually won over the judges but fight fans were less than impressed with that effort.
Spencer doesn’t have the same track record as her opponent, with just nine pro MMA bouts to her resume. However, in that short time, the Canadian-born fighter has garnered the respect of foes and fans with her iron jaw and toughness.
Spencer went a full three rounds with Cyborg, in which she absorbed a lot of punishment versus a superior striker but kept pressing the action in her lone career loss. Bookending that defeat is a submission win over Megan Anderson last May and a TKO victory against Zarah Fairn Dos Santos in February.

Nunes vs Spencer predictions and betting picks
PREDICTION: Nunes by KO/TKO -125 – Most bettors aren’t going to lay the lumber with Nunes’ outright price. Taking her to win via knockout is much easier to swallow. Nunes puts the fear into opponents, especially since that infamous KO of Cyborg at UFC 232, and will try to capitalize on that edge early on. Spencer didn’t hesitate to stand and trade with Cyborg in the first round of their bout and while the challenger is tough as nails, Nunes can inflict damage while upright or on the mat.
PREDICTION: Fight will end in first three rounds -175 – Nunes got into trouble when her gas tank emptied prematurely in her decision win over de Randamie, so she’d rather end this one early. She’s a better grappler than Spencer and if she can’t score the KO on her feet, she’ll take this fight to the ground and impose her will. That three-round buffer gives some respect to Spencer’s chin, but she’s only ventured beyond Round 3 once in her career.
PREDICTION: Nunes to win in Round 1 +240 – If you’re looking for some plus-money pop, taking Nunes to finish this fight within the first five minutes is providing solid value. She dominated de Randamie in the opening round of their bout (but couldn’t slam the door) and has scored a first-round victory in six of her fights during this current 10-match winning streak. Spencer is very outclassed here and will go down swinging, likely within the initial 300 seconds.
