Chuba Hubbard has run for 339 yards and four TDs in three games so far, and should be leaned on heavily this weekend as OSU faces Iowa State.

Hey there, guys. It’s me, your favorite sport, and I’m totally hammered right now. I decided to switch things up this year when it comes to college football betting, and you’re not going to believe it. I’ve got both Oklahoma State and Iowa State in the Top 25 and get this—they’re going to be leading the Big 12 along with Kansas State. Hell, I even ranked Coastal Carolina this week! Let’s do shots!

Here are our best college football free picks and predictions for No.18 Iowa State at No. 6 Oklahoma State, with kickoff scheduled for Saturday, October 24 at 3:30.

Against the spread (ATS) pick

It’s not easy recruiting to Ames, Iowa, much less winning football games, but Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell has gotten it done. The Cyclones have senior star quarterback Brock Purdy at the controls. In their 31-15 victory against Texas Tech two weeks ago, he lit up the Red Raiders for 302 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Breece Hall paced the team with 135 yards on the ground and two scores as well.

Oklahoma State has had even more time to rest, with one scheduled week off and one game canceled because of COVID-19. That means we will likely see the return of quarterback Spencer Sanders, who is healthy after suffering an ankle injury in the team’s first drive of the season against Tulsa. Freshman Shane Illingworth has filled in nicely while leading the team to a 3-0 start, though head coach Mike Gundy is being coy about who will start on Saturday. Look for Sanders to begin the game with a good chance that Illingworth could also see some snaps if Sanders struggles.

The Cyclones are playing some of the best football in school history and should be able to keep this game close. The hook is a crook, so I’m taking the 3.5 in a battle that could very likely be decided by a field goal.

PREDICTION: Iowa State +3.5 (-110)

Over/Under pick

There’s going to be a ton of focus on the quarterbacks in this game, but both teams love to run the football. Hall will see plenty of action for the Cyclones, and the Cowboys have one of the best backs in the country in Chuba Hubbard. The Under is 8-2 in Iowa State’s last ten games as an underdog, and I expect these running backs to chew up plenty of clock.

PREDICTION: Under 54.5 (-110)

First-half moneyline pick

Three weeks off can be both a blessing and a curse. The rest is always welcome, but you risk your team having to shake off some rust before finding its form again.

I expect Oklahoma State to come out slow, so let’s take a shot at some plus money on Iowa State at the half and then stock up on some of that delicious booze that college football has been drinking this season.

PREDICTION: Iowa State first-half ML (+130)
