Apple is getting raked over the coals right now, as they should be, but could you imagine how much worse it would be if the company was Microsoft? I think this is Apple's Vista. I hope that there is a new commercial featuring the Mac and PC guy for this. |

And as other posters have noted, Bama is a run first offense. But not only are they run first, they're not close to being balanced. If Texas can slow down the Bama ground game then Bama is going to have big problems moving the ball. We're looking at a team that was held to point totals of 22, 20, 12, 24 and 26. That's not exactly a juggernaut. While I'm not convinced Texas will be able to shutdown Bama's run attack, I do think they can get them in 3rd and long enough times to make Bama struggle moving the ball.
I don't think this is a game to make a big play on. I see value on Texas +4 with a possible small play on the Texas money line.
Agreed. Not going to lie though, I'm a Longhorns fan so I am betting on them regardless. |

Give me the Saints at -6. Hell, I might take the over in that as well.

help me with this game. Name the starting techmo bowl QBs from 1991
in General Discussion Got 12. Awesome game, and I think that this year will be the first year Vinny Testacles won't be on a video game roster

Some things that others seem to love that you just can't understand.....
in General Discussion Not sure if these were said or not, but here goes:
1. Watching poker on TV. What's next, the Yahtzee channel?
2. Fox news. It was on at the gym the other day and they had a guy from the WWE who plays a Texas oil baron on a financial panel
3. "Reality" tv. I actually enjoy the Race, but Survivor, Big Brother, the Bachelor, etc. need to go away.

That's my main problem with Romo, he doesn't appear to be a good leader.

Saw this clip on youtube:
With their plays of the year. I loved 10 and 5 as well as the WNCAAB coach freaking out. I want to burn that Texas Tech Crabtree highlight And #2 was incredible.
What are your favs? Please post a link to it if you can to help a brother out stuck at work on NYE

Last week WAS a playoff game. Win and you're in. And once again, Romo choked with some help from Pacman and Barber.
Check the highlights:
McNabb was dead on accurate - especially the pass to DeSean Jackson.
Like I said, I take McNabb. Although I'd KILL to have Romo as my wingman in the club.

As a 49er fan, I am so happy right now. Honestly, in Singletary's first game as head coach I thought the team was going to tune him out and make him look like a fool (I loved what he did by the way, and his press conference is in my top 10 all time favorites). But he got them to listen to him and they played well enough to win games down the stretch. I knew as soon as Singletary was made the permanent coach this week that Martz was gone. Singletary made Shawn Hill the QB and benched JT O'Sullivan who Martz named as QB. Martz just isn't a good fit to work for Singletary.
I agree with your point, HotRoute. Honestly, I think Martz should be a college coach. He'd be a huge success there, but it would not be a shock if he winds up with the Jets.
Depending on how we do in the draft this year (picking 10th) and what happens in the offseason, we aren't far off from challenging for the weak NFC west division title next year. The defense played great after Singletary became head coach, and if they can instill an EFFICIENT offense (doesn't have to be GREAT) they can win that division.

Colts will win because it will be a shootout. Neither team has a championship calibre defense, so I'm taking the over in this game.
Like every game, it's going to come down to turnovers.

This is like choosing between kissing your sister, or kissing your cousin. In that argument, I choose my cousin. In this one I choose McNabb. Mostly because McNabb never made TO cry in a press conference.
"That's my teamate. That's my quarterback. If you blame him that's unfair, we lost as a team."

The Colts are 12-4 with the 31st ranked rushing attack and he has some of the fewest sacks in the league with his injured OL like you have stated.
Did you mean Peyton is in the top 5 for his career or this season? Because 5 Peyton wasn't top 5 in every QB category this season. 6th in total passing yards, 8th in yards per game but was top 5 in the rest that matter according to nfl.com: If you just look at the stats for this year, Rivers was pretty even with Peyton if not somewhat higher. Anyway, I've killed enough time here at work on this thread. It sucks working over the holidays, but I'm glad that covers isn't blocked for me here! Good luck with your playoff bets folks and for 2009. |

8-8 is definitely the biggest glaring negative for Rivers, no doubt Rangerz. SD got hosed in week 2 vs. the Broncos and have lost alot of close games this year. Their opponents largest margin for a victory was the 9 point difference between them and the Bills back when everyone thought the Bills had a chance this year. You could argue that an MVP would have found a way to win those games, but I think it's a testament to him that they were that close.
Looks like it's going to be Peyton, and he deserves it. But it would have been nice to see a new name on the trophy.
