My analysis
I’d be lying if I said backing anybody against City, even with a +2.5 goal handicap, was easy, but it’s the smartest way to tackle Saturday's game.
On the surface, we're looking at a Wolves team that has won just one of their last seven Premier League games. However, when looking into those games, their biggest margin of defeat in that span was by two goals against very good Arsenal and Aston Villa teams.
We also need to factor in that City has given up 32 goals in 24 Premier League games this season, including allowing at least one score in three of their past five matches.
A look at City’s last 13 games show that they’ve won by a three-goal margin on just three occasions. We need to caveat that we are including tense Champions League games and an FA Cup semi-final in those numbers, but it shows a team that isn't regularly outscoring opponents heavily.
