There are four Stanley Cup Playoff games on Saturday, featuring two teams facing elimination, with plenty of NHL odds to choose from.

The Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers have a chance to complete the sweep on Saturday, while the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars look to get back into their series.

Here are my free NHL picks for Saturday, April 27.

  • Hurricanes ML + Aho anytime goal + Tkachuk 4+ SOG (60 min) (+655 at FanDuel)

  • Matthews 5+ SOG (60 min) + Eichel 4+ SOG (60 min) + Stars ML (+444 at FanDuel)

Best NHL parlay picks for Saturday

NHL parlay pick 1

Hurricanes ML

Sebastian Aho anytime goal

Matthew Tkachuk 4+ shots on goal (60 min)

The Carolina Hurricanes are simply the better team in their series against the New York Islanders. They have 56.51% of the expected goals share at 5-on-5 (per Natural Stat Trick) and Frederik Andersen has shown up between the pipes.

Sebastian Aho has long been the offensive firepower in Carolina and he has some help now with the additions of Jake Guentzel and Evgeny Kuznetsov. He’s scored in two straight games in this series and eight of the last 10 meetings against the Islanders overall. Aho was hot at the end of the regular season as well with nine goals in his final 11 games to finish with 34 on the year.

When the Hurricanes-Islanders game is wrapping up, the puck will be dropping on the Battle of Florida down in Tampa Bay. The Florida Panthers hold a 3-0 series lead as we’re witnessing a changing of the guard in the Sunshine State.

Matthew Tkachuk was a breakout star in last year’s playoffs and he’s off to a strong start this year. He’s racked up 13 shots on goal through three games and has gone Over 3.5 shots on goal in five straight contests. Tkachuk also loves playing against the Bolts, with 4+ shots in four straight meetings and seven of 10 since the beginning of the 2022 season.

The Lightning may be able to salvage a game in the series, but Tkachuk and the Cats should continue to pile on the shots. They’ve outshot the Bolts 96-71 through three games and the lone Lightning win against Florida this season was a 50-shot effort for the Panthers.

NHL parlay pick 2

Auston Matthews 5+ shots on goal (60 min)

Jack Eichel 4+ shots on goal (60 min)

Stars ML

Moving on to the two later games, we’re counting on Auston Matthews to bounce back in a big way on Saturday night. The Toronto Maple Leafs star has been battling an illness but appears to be ready to go for a crucial Game 4 at home.

Matthews had an unusually low number of shots in Game 3 with just three on seven attempts. He had 13 shots on 21 attempts in the first two games of the series and has gone Over 4.5 shots in seven of the last 10 meetings against the Bruins.

The Leafs will be desperate and Matthews tends to bounce back well from low-shot performances. Prior to Game 3, he last missed this line on April 11. He had 10 shots on goal two nights later and a total of 27 shots in his final three regular-season games.

We’re sticking with a star to keep shooting in the later game with Jack Eichel. Eichel was held without a shot in Game 1 (four attempts) for the Vegas Golden Knights before pouring in five shots on goal on seven attempts in Game 2. He’s enjoyed playing against the Dallas Stars with 4+ SOG in four of the last five meetings and five of the last eight as well.

Although Eichel should be shooting a lot, it will be the Stars coming out victorious. Dallas hasn’t played poorly but finds itself in a 2-0 deficit heading to Vegas. The Stars hold a 61.52% expected goals share (per Natural Stat Trick) though two games and the goaltending advantage should help in a Game 3 they need to win.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each of the three games on Saturday's playoff slate:

Hurricanes vs Islanders same-game parlay (SGP)

Kyle Palmieri Over 2.5 shots

Over 5.5

Hurricanes -1.5

Kyle Palmieri may try his best to keep the Islanders alive, but ultimately it’ll be the Hurricanes who come away with the sweep here. Carolina has been the much better team and not even a goalie change can save the Isles now.

We’re also going with a contrarian Over 5.5 play here. Patrick Roy is known to be aggressive pulling the goalie and that should show up in an elimination game. The Isles could empty their net with several minutes to play if they face a multi-goal deficit.

Stars vs Golden Knights same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

Stars moneyline

Dallas is not a team that should be down 0-2 entering the road portion of a best-of-seven series. I don’t want to take anything from Vegas, its depth has neutralized almost all the Stars’ firepower.

However, Dallas still outranks the Knights in this series in xGF/60, xGA/60, and expected goal differential per 60 minutes. The Stars’ backs are against the wall, and I don’t think they leave this contest trailing 3-0.

Panthers vs Lightning same-game parlay (SGP)

Panthers moneyline

Matthew Tkachuk anytime goal

Sam Reinhart 1+ points

There's nowhere else I’d rather build my SGP around than two of the most prominent Panthers in this series.

Matthew Tkachuk was the catalyst and closer in Game 3, opening the scoring and finishing things off with an empty-netter, giving him three goals in the series and six goals in the last nine games overall. As long as he keeps pucks going to the net — he has had at least four shots in every game in this series — Tkachuk is a good bet to light the lamp.

Sam Reinhart has taken his goal-scoring prowess from the regular season right into the playoffs, with two goals against the Lightning. Reinhart ended the regular season hot, with points in 11 of 13 games, making it 13 of 15 overall.

Like Tkachuk, Reinhart has been getting pucks on net, with 14 shots total across three games. If Florida plans on closing things out in four, Reinhart should play a prominent role this Saturday.

Bruins vs Maple Leafs same-game parlay (SGP)

Auston Matthews anytime goal

First team to score - Maple Leafs

Maple Leafs moneyline

For leg one of my same-game parlay, we’ll mirror my best bet with a Matthews anytime goal. Those two have had great chemistry, and it’s more likely than not that if Matthews scores, Domi will be involved. That’s how it’s been for weeks now.

Notching the first goal of the game will also be crucial for the Leafs. Toronto has also scored first in 58% of their games this season, so they should feed off the crowd’s energy and find the back of the net before Boston.

We'll wrap up tonight's SGP by backing the Leafs on the moneyline. William Nylander is expected to return tonight, which should help give the team the boost they desperately need.
