With Everton flirting with relegation, there’s a chance this could be the last meeting between them and Liverpool for a while. An Everton win or even a draw would greatly improve their chances of that not happening.

EPL predictions for Everton vs Liverpool
This year’s second Merseyside derby, much like many others over the past couple of seasons, features two teams at opposite ends of the Premier League table.
That overshadows this game once again, with Liverpool heading into the week level on points with Arsenal but in second place thanks to an inferior goal difference, while Everton are now five points clear over 18th-placed Luton Town after a controversial win over Nottingham Forest.
Everton have now won two of their past three games and have kept clean sheets in their previous two home games. That’s one of the reasons why a Liverpool win is just -213 on the moneyline, arguably a big price.
We have to consider, though, that those two wins and clean sheets were against Nottingham Forest and Burnley — teams ranked 17th and 19th in the Premier League table — and even the Forest win was highly controversial thanks to some highly debated VAR decisions.
The aforementioned results haven’t changed how we should view this Everton team. They have still scored fewer goals than anybody not named Sheffield United and are woefully bad at creating chances as well as putting them away. We also can’t forget that sandwiched between those two wins was a shambolic 6-0 defeat to Chelsea.
There’s no doubt playing at Goodison Park is more challenging for Liverpool than playing at Anfield, but they’ve lost just one of the past 29 derbies We saw Liverpool bounce back with a 3-1 win over Fulham this past weekend, and Jurgen Klopp’s team need to continue picking up points if they’re going to win the Premier League.
This team only knows one way to play and that’s attacking, they have a relatively clean bill of health and should come into this derby in a position to put a couple of goals past Everton.

Everton have scored just 34 goals in 33 games and are the Premier League’s second lowest scorers behind Sheffield United. Liverpool have the second-best defensive record in the Premier League and should be able to shut out an Everton team who are struggling for creativity.
