Without question, my favorite bet of the weekend.

For whatever it's worth, I covered some of my $100 SKF today with some UYG at $2.35. So I'm holding both, with a slight over weight in UYG. Who the hell knows where this market is, or should be heading, but I split the 8's and taking my chances.
Cheers all.

Cheers Everyone !!! I nibbled at SKF late in the day at $100 pps. I was a little early, but will average down tomorrow if this nonsense continues. I just fall back on the knowledge that if the government is involved with the solution to this mess, they will somehow phuck it up. I am also betting that this plan will be a nonevent; that the buyers and sellers will not meet at a price (greed will rule). Just my two cents, but that's how I'm playing it.

Yes, but Buffett stopped buying when the market started to rally mid-day.
My plan is to dollar cost average into some SSO when the S&P breaks below 875. Even then, I know I will need to be patient.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Wow, not sure which is more pathetic; the Lions with Ford ($2 pps by the way) as their owner, or the waste the twelve good green cards on the Tigers. Fading the Lions until Vegas catches up with how bad/uncaring they are is a pretty safe bet, imho.
Go Wings !!!

"Investment Gambling" Truer words have never been spoken. But it's a lot easier to tell your wife you "invested" in the stock market, then it is to tell her you wheeled the 2 and 5 horse up and down in an exacta and boxed those two with the field in a trifecta, in the fifth, at Raceway Park....................trust me. |

Good luck KOAJ.
I've been averaging down in UYG since it hit $14 with my Vegas fun money. I fired my last bullet last night AH to get my average pps down to $11. So you'll either find me at a Bally's $25 BJ table come the NCAA tourney in March, or a $5 table at Imperial Palace (yikes). Either way, it's a quick trade for me, I won't get too greedy
Watch HBAN, anything under $7 is buy. Doesn't matter if you go long or trade this symbol, it's a money maker.
Cheers.

I actually bought some SKF this afternoon, as a hedge against the UYG I bought Monday afternoon at $16. I am a little pissed at Proshares, as the NAV of UYG was significantly under the bid/ask. The difference at close was to the tune of $1.75 per share. They really need to do a better job of tracking their index's. You can get the current value of these ETF's by getting quotes through symbols SKF.IV and UYG.IV. Just something to keep in mind when you pull the trigger. Anyway, I covered my UYG when I saw JPM making 52 week highs today. I don't care how great a bank they are, that's crazy in this enviroment. Definitely a puss move to hold both, but I don't have a clue what's going to happen these next two days, and I'm willing to wager both will be trading higher then my pps sometime next week. I bailed on my GE last week during the run up. I will nibble again at anything close to $22 as a long term holding. Well, back to the game with my +24.5 points and cold Miller Lite(s) Cheers. |
