NBA Parlay Picks: Odds and Predictions for Sunday's Playoff Games

The Heat will be severely undermanned when they take on the Celtics as 14-point underdogs in Game 1 and that means they'll need every point they can get from Tyler Herro. Read more in our NBA parlay picks for Sunday, April 21.

Best NBA parlay picks for Sunday

NBA parlay pick 1

Tyler Herro Over 23.5 points

Kyrie Irving Over 24.5 points

Damian Lillard Over 3.5 threes

Our three-leg parlay ticket involves three guards who need to have big scoring nights for their teams to win their opening-round tilts.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro must be the big gun for the Heat without Jimmy Butler in the lineup. Herro averaged 21 points per night across 14 games this season without Butler beside him and scored 24 in their play-in victory over Chicago.

The Heat guard averaged 23.5 per night across three games against the Boston Celtics and I expect him to come out firing and scoring buckets.

The Dallas Mavericks visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday and the Mavs will get the big night they need from Kyrie Irving. He feels that Team USA snubbed him; while that isn’t grounds enough to wager on, it'll provide the fuel to his already 25.6 points per game, which improves to 26.5 points over his two meetings with the Clips this season.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard was acquired this off-season to play Robin alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lillard has a great opportunity on Sunday to remind us that “Dame Time” still exists when they host the Indiana Pacers.

Lillard averaged 29 points in eight games without Antetokounmpo by his side. While scoring that many points may be hard to reach, he cleared 4+ triples in five of those eight tilts and Indiana's defense allows 10.6 triples per night.

NBA parlay pick 2

Derrick White Over 2.5 threes

Bobby Portis Under 18.5 points

Jonas Valanciunas Under 9.5 rebounds

Our second ticket combines three props I really like as individual plays love as a three-leg parlay.

Celtics guard Derrick White has a terrific matchup against a weakened defense in Butler’s absence. He’s cleared his 3-point prop number in six of his last eight games and has a great chance to do so again on Sunday.

White gets the minutes (31.8) and does something with them; he makes 2.7 on 6.5 triples per night per game at TD Garden. The Heat allow 6.3 triple attempts to the guard position; White’s past success against Miami paired with his consistent play at home make this a good bet.

Bucks forward Bobby Portis has been an inconsistent scorer throughout his career, making his 18.5-point scoring prop something to target on Sunday.

In their three meetings with Indiana this season, Portis cleared Sunday’s scoring prop number once and just four times across his past 10 regular-season games. He averages 2.7 fouls per game and he’ll have to battle inside with Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam, likely leading to the foul trouble that typically keeps the big fella off the court and Under this total.

New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas is one of the top rebounders in the game. Still, the game script may limit his minutes and he won’t clear 9.5 rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He hasn’t snagged 10 boards in seven of his previous 10 regular-season games and averaged 8.0 boards in his three earlier tilts with the Thunder. The Pelicans have had great success with their small-ball lineup, which will limit his minutes and cause Valanciunas to stay Under.
