England-Italy, Draw @ 3.05 (1/10) England-Italy, Over 47.5 Throw-Ins @ 1.80 (1/10) Uruguay-Costa Rica, Over 2.25 @ 2.10 (1/10) Ivory Coast-Japan, Over 2.5 @ 2.06 (1/10)
It has been goals goals goals so far this World Cup so I find especially that over 2.25 line in the Uruguay game something I have to bet on. England-Italy seems destined for a draw, although I have to admit that if I would need to pick a side right now, it would be England. Throw-ins have been working great so far for me this tournament (3-0 on throw-in bets I wagered on), so I will give it another shot in the England game.

Uruguay-Costa Rica, Over 46.5 @ 1.78 (1/10) Ivory Coast-Japan, Over 47.5 @ 1.80 (1/10)
Parlay Uruguay ML + France ML @ 1.98 (1/10)
Wouldn't play France with a higher handicap as it is tough to say whether they will score 1 or 5. I am positive they will beat Honduras though and the same thing goes for Uruguay, so the logical play is a parlay here.

Disappointing World Cup so far for me, but there is plenty of time left to get it back.
Today:
Germany-Portugal, Germany ML @ 2.19 (3/10) Over 2.5 @ 1.81 (1/10)
It should be noted that this day so far has been the greatest day of the year for me, particularly due to private reasons, but also because of the news that just hit Germany like a bomb:
Michael Schumacher is awake!
He had a ski-accident and fell into a coma, didn't look good at all but today he finally woke up. That is such great news, also to the national team in which he has several close friends. They dedicated this World Cup to him and some of the shoes say "Fight schumi". I'm not particularly religious or superstitiuos, but what a coincidence. I am sure that will give the team a motivation boost we cannot even imagine. When you were browsing the newspaper a couple of days ago they were all so negative (much like prior to any big tournament because of the Germany tendency to desperately looking for a negative thing in even the most positive things). But now the special atmosphere that carried us through against England and Argentina during WC 2010, it is back. And while I was being highly sceptical, I am sure we will beat the crap out of Portugal tonight. Portugal is the perfect opponent, we play them almost every tournament - and always win. A prime example of an overrated team that relies on Ronaldo, although I have to admit that especially Moutinho is highly dangerous.
But our team will start with best formation ( Schweinsteiger will probably set on the bench) and we have always been a tournament team. No matter how bad we looked before the start, we always came out firing. In the EURO 2012 we played Portugal in the first game and won, I am sure we will win again today. Wouldn't be surprised to see Portugal being humiliated just like Spain, but that is only the fan talking.
Ghana-USA, USA +0 @ 2.23 (1/10)
I see this more or less as a coinflip, so going with the underdog seems a good option. Klinsi is a great great motivator so I'm sure the US will come out aggressive and might jump on an early lead. I really hope you guys win this one and since today only great things happen - I will risk a Unit on that one also.
BoL everyone, let's have a good World Cup start for both our teams!

Very tough to predict, I believe these teams will play for third rank. Normally I would say under and either a draw or a narrow Nigeria victory, such as a 1-0, but what is normal in this world cup? At these odds the under is not worth a play and although I see Nigeria as a small favorite, I wouldn't want to back them on the moneyline. My "prediction" is a 1-1, but that is just a guess. No play
Belgium-Algeria
Belgium should win this one but I wouldn't underestimate Algeria, even though it is difficult to say how dangerous they will turn out to be. We saw in the Uruguay game that attitude can play a major role, but I believe Wilmots is such a good coach that his players won't take Algeria easy. I tend towards the over but historically 1st round games are destined for unders and given that it has been almost exclusively overs so far - it must even out at some point. So far no play for me here.
Brazil-Mexico
According to what we saw in the first games, one would have to back Mexico +1.5. But I will stay away as Brazil nonetheless partially showed what they may be able to do. Further, Mexico played against a very sorry Cameroon side, which likely won't gain a single point this tournament. Yes Mexico played good, but their opponent just made it very easy. I believe Croatia is the stronger side and Mexico won't cause Brazil as much problems as Croatia did. So far I tend towards Brazil -1.5, but that is not a play yet.
Russia-South Korea
Here I like the Russian squad to take the victory. First, South Korea is not as strong as they used to be, they lack world class players and have trouble creating chances on the offensive end. Russia knows that this game must be won if they want to win the group. Their players are all playing in the domestic league, which could be an advantage (familiarity, unity aspects etc.) I see Russia winning this one rather comfortably.
Pick: Russia ML @ 2.07 (1/10)
Netherlands-Australia
Short and sweet, Oranje will win this by 2 or more goals. Van Gaal is a great coach who can get the most out of a team and everyone that knows how he is as a person knows that he will make sure no player takes Australia easy. If there is one that does, he might find himself on the bench sooner than later. I see Oranje taking the momentum from the Spain game into this one and win in a high scoring game. I do believe Australia can score though, they came close several times against Chile, which I consider stronger on the defense than Holland. Pick: Holland -1.75 @ 1.97 (2/10), Over 3 @ 1.93 (2/10)

Basically what I wrote yesterday still goes. Don't see Russia not winning this, South Korea can only do so much with their squad and chances are it won't be enough.
Brazil-Mexico, Brazil -1.5 @ 2.10 (1/10)
I believe we will see a better Brazilian team than that against Croatia. Also, public perception on Mexico may be distorted due to their "convincing" performance against Cameroon. But Cameroon didn't test them once and I'm sure they will look much different today against Brazil. Mexico +1.5 seems like the reasonable bet from what we saw, but I will ride with the hosts (and possibly the refs) once again here.

Way too high these odds. We saw yesterday that although US fought bravely and won against Ghana, this team is very limited in some respects. Imagine what Nani will do to DaMarcus Beasly who had major problems in almost every scene. Let's assume Portugal does not beat Ghana but ties, that might still be enough for them to advance if they beat US, Germany beats US and does not lose against Ghana, which is somewhat likely.
I think Portugal can do better than what they showed yesterday, it was not even a real game to be fair. Sure the first 10-20 minutes Germany was already a little better but not by that much. After the penalty just everything went wrong for Portugal. I believe they will come out with a lot of anger and finally secure the second spot.
