Mercury plus 1 1/2 hosting Wings No Diggins-Smith and Taurasi, but the Mercury still have three quality guards. Phoenix is tied for the final playoff spot. Mercury's last regular-season game is against the Sky, so that's a probable loss. This is the game they need to win. Been a rough year for them so making the playoffs would be an achievement. Wings have no reason to play hard, or even show up, being locked into the No. 6 seed. So I'll take the home 'dog. |

I'm taking the Fever plus 14 hosting Aces. The Fever haven't played since Sunday. So they should be frisky and itching to prove themselves at home against the most talented team in the league. But the biggest reason for believing the Fever can stay within this number is the obvious letdown spot for the Aces after their huge win against the Sky. |

I laid six with the Wings against the Fever. Wings can't afford a loss here in their quest for a playoff berth. Fever has lost 11 in a row. All of the losses have been by more than seven points. Best of luck. |

Don't be too hard on yourself Aussie. The Aces could have covered this spread. But things got sloppy during garbage time and the spread fell in the mix and went the Fever's way. |

Great call Aussie on the Dream. |

BTW, the Dream are not listing Howard as a starter today on their team home page under probable starting lineups. Would you still like the Dream at plus 12 if no Howard? |

OK, thanks Aussie. I did follow some WNBA beat writers on Twitter, but found their tweets to be useless. They are not tuned it to betting. Instead of finding out about injury status, I see tweets about favorite food and other nonsense. |

Makes sense. Where can you find that information on the Dream when it comes out? It's difficult finding WNBA information sources. I use WNBA.com. But that's all I know of. Would you have other information sources? The main newspapers hardly cover these teams. Thanks. |

Aussie anything on the two other games today? Your opinion carries much respect. Thanks. |

I think the line is more than fair to back the Liberty. They beat the Dream by 12 in Atlanta this past Friday. That was the last time the Liberty played. The Dream are playing for the third time in five days and have regressed while the Liberty have been playing well covering six of their last seven. |

I'm taking the Fever plus 15 1/2 at the Sun. I believe the spot and situation sets up well for the Fever. Both teams last played on Sunday. Kelsey Mitchell ripped the Fever after their last loss for playing too casual. Indiana has double revenge. So I expect a strong effort from the Fever. The Sun last played at home on May 28 having been on the West Coast for four games. They beat the Storm in their last game and host the Sky Friday in a much bigger game. So it's going to be difficult for them to get up for this game, which would make covering this large of a spread problematic. |

@AussieDownUnder Good luck Aussie. Always appreciate your analysis. I don't have an opinion on the total, but like the Mercury to win because of their veteran and deep backcourt. Having Skyler Diggins-Smith back is huge for Phoenix. I'm expecting some regression from the Dream. |

@Pho-20 According to the WNBA web site, del Donne will be resting her back so she won't play. |

I'm going with Storm minus 7 1/2 and Under 169 1/2 against the Wings.
Dallas is going to be rusty having played only one game - and that being 8 days ago. The Wings lack experience and won't have Allisha Gray, who led them in scoring with 23 points in their only game.

Does anybody know of a WNBA fantasy basketball league? I would like to join one to help with my WNBA handicapping. Haven't seen any on ESPN, Yahoo or Fantrax. |
