Similarly South America is bad. The higher we move North in Europe and America, the less the diving. In general I think that is because the fans does not appreciate divers. It's not very masculine to roll around playing hurt, if you really aren't, just to try and get a set piece or a card to the opponent. British fans does not appreciate that and are known to boo of obvious diving, even from their own side. Not saying it doesn't exist in Premier League - it does of course, but it's much less than say Serie A. We need the fans of Southern Europe and South America to stand up against the divers on their own teams. A round of booing from the home crowd can make any player reconsider their acting so the culture can change. Take a look at this first hit I got on youtube about diving and notice the origin of the teams/players diving the most: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC-H2wXK4T4 Diving is NOT part of the game. |

I take the chance and say you didn't see the match that ended 2-2 between Sweden and Denmark in 2004. It was nowhere near a fix. It was an honest game that just as well could have ended with either of the sides winning. Obviously, when Sweden made the equalizer in the 90th minute neither of the teams really gave an effort in the injury time to take the win, but that was the only time during the game and can hardly be called a fix. 2-2 is not something that can be mutually agreed upon without it looking suspect. The rumors of todays "fix" are just as far fetched as back in 2004 and once again they are coming from the Italian camp, that really shouldn't speak up about match-fixing at all - especially not Buffon, who has been one of the loudest mouths about this Spain - Croatia fix. He has an ongoing case about match-fixing. |

I am impressed with your stats, vanzack, and must admit I am paying attention to your picks before placing my own.
Allow me to give you a little feedback other than back padding on one of your recent picks though; Denmark have had a very good hold on Portugal the last couple of years. If you look at the last 5 counting matches (not friendlies) Denmark have won 2 and Portugal only 1. 2 have tied. This is from the Euro 2012 qualifier and the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, where Denmark both times ended higher than Portugal(1) as well as Euro 2008. Denmark usually beat them with a good team collaboration, where Portugal relies on individuals. It's the same team collaboration that caused the upset with Holland (where I actually was on Holland -1 myself). Had you played a few months ago when the line on Portugal was around +120 I would have agreed with your pick, but I think the value is now on Denmark and the draw, even if I remove my red-white glasses. I am personally on Denmark +0.25 at +131 (1) https://www.soccerway.com/international/europe/wc-qualifying-europe/2010-south-africa/group-stage/group-1/ https://www.soccerway.com/international/europe/european-championship-qualification/2012-poland-ukraine/qualifying-round/group-h/ |

Ok, you convinced me :)
Nah, but I just needed someone I know to support this bet, I had it on my radar also, so I'm on Dodgers as well. |

Hi EO
What makes you love Dodgers? I considered them also, but It would appear that Capuano has a very low BABIP indicating his luck might soon turn? |

Moore is 0-4 with a 5.40 ERA in five starts, which is not impressive, but Arrieta is 0-4 with an 8.00 ERA in five starts - even worse. So it's going to be the battle of the poor performing pitchers. I'm betting the value here, which I think is clear on the O's after they broke their losing streak of 6 losses yesterday and are playing to defend the 1st place they claimed after yesterdays win. |

Adding Pirates over Brewers (-105)
With Braun and Ramirez out of the lineup the odds have been dropping. Nevertheless, I still think there is value in the slight favorite line of -105. Brewers pitcher is inexperienced and had a good start. He will need to perform today if he wants the win, as it's not likely that the Brewers offense will be able to help him much without Braun and Ramirez. He might be coming down to earth after his fine debut performance and be beaten up by the Pirates - as beaten up as one can be by the Pirates. Small win for the Pirates is my estimate which I give 55% chance. |

YTD posted on covers 6-5-1 (+1,86U)
Been traveling the last couple of weeks so have not posted much and only had time for a few plays. I was in Miami and saw two matches vs Giants and Nats. Anyways, for today I have: Orioles over Rays (+145) There is excellent value in the O's today. They have broken their losing streak and I give them around 45% chance of winning today so there is 110% value in the current +145 line. Marlins @ Phillies over 8,5 runs (+107) Two good offenses against two mediocre pitchers should give at least 50% chance of 9 runs or more. Miami have been very hot lately and could likely cover 5-6 runs by themselves. Reds over Astros (-1.0 handicap) (-113) Arroyo has been flawless against Astros historically and with a slumping Astros up against a potent offense lead by Votto, I see a good chance of Reds winning by more than one. A 1-run victory to Reds returns the stake. BOL to you all. |

Thanks for the answer.
I'm with you on COL TT over 5 and kinda with you on over in CIN@HOU. I'm on CIN TT over 4.5 though. Lines at -105 and -111, respectively. In addition I'm on D-backs and considering to follow you on Pirates. Thanks for your valuable input. |

Ryan Braun is back in the lineup tonight. Does that chance anything in regards to your backing of Pirates?
The market have not really reacted to the news that he is back in. |

Not the best of nights. I went 1-2-1 so ended with -0.79
Total YTD posted on covers is thus: YTD posted on covers 6-5-1 (+1,86U) Interleague today. Always a bit tricky, but I see some dogs I like already. Will likely post picks later. |

The Rockies did completely exhaust their bullpen yesterday though. They had 222 pitches against D-backs of which 116 came from their bullpen who struggled hard.
Rockies gave up 9 walks yesterday in an insane game. |
