Last year this Rams team BEAT SanFran in a tough physical game.. i see another style of matchup only with many players on SF side out or still hurting from being battered by seahawks and colts. I think this is a great position for Rams to pull off a win here. Video is OUT on this Kaepernick offense. Fisher finds a way to slow down this Sanfran team. a team thats both physically and mentality off track. I see SanFran losing another nail biter on a short week with key players out on the road. But all you 49er Fans out there don't worry. i also see them getting things together and winning their next 4games leading into a mUCH needed bye... ST.LOUIS 23-20 Just one little detail to point out, St Louis is not located in the East Coast, it is right at the middle of the country, check a US map if you don't believe me.

This is the Sean Payton Bowl! How come you guys don't talk about this? If Saints win they pretty much put Dallas out of the playoffs and that means Garrett is fired and Jerry Jones is free to pursuit Payton. There is no way that the virtually eliminated Saints win this game and help the Boys get a real coach next year. Brees wants his coach back and the best way to make it happen is to throw away this meaningless game to the playoff thirsty Cowboys.

Forget the away team trends cause the Chiefs are in no shape to win this football game. If KC had Bowe healthy maybe they could cover, but without him who is the dreadful Quinn going to throw at? Another key matchup is the Oakland air attack against a banged up Chiefs secondary. I see a well rested Raiders defense with the return of Seymour and McClain holding Charles and putting pressure on Quinn. The Oakland passing game will set up DMC and Reece and the Raiders easily cover and break a 6 game losing streak by sweeping the Chiefs!

It's a shame cause it would have been a very entertaining game without this "draw advances both teams" scenario.
Here's what I don't get: don't both teams want to win? Juventus wants a win b/c that's the best way to guarantee that it advances. Shakhtar wins, and it gets a #1 seed and avoids teams like Real Madrid, Barca, Man U, etc. What am I missing here?

What makes you think the USA national team is going to win a meaningless friendly without key starters and against an almost full and invinceble Mexico squad at Azteca?
Too much adversity to overcome here! USA missing core players like Bradley, Dempsey, Bocanegra, Cherundolo and Altidore. Only 3 days to prepare when most of this guys are gonna be playing together for the first time. It is a night game wich could be better to withstand the awful effects of 8000 ft altitude neverthless, playing at Azteca takes a physical toll as early as halftime. Unlike the USA wich is using the game to give experience to new players, Mexico is already ahead of that phase and will field an experienced and almost full squad. As you can see, this game doesn't look pretty for the Yanks, the sometimes naive Jurgen Klinsmann is taking his team to the slaughter house with the dubious objective of "getting new players to experience hardships of World Cup Qualifying" Well let's hope this experience doesn't backfire and instead of gaining experience the players end up losing any confidence of ever beating Mexico at home. This could be really ugly guys, with a new starting defense and against a full Mexican senior side, trying to proove they are also winners like the U23's, at 8000 ft Azteca stadium! I am thinking Mexico by a lot, i mean, more than 2 and up to 5 goals. Best bet is Mexico -2 at +6.20, and even better if you find -3 or -4 wich not many books are offering.

He won’t be alone as fellow senior members, and Al Ahly teammates, Ahmed Fathy and Emad Moateb have a similar agreement and are unavailable for selection by head coach Hany Ramzy on Saturday. After reading your comment i thought to myself: what? Egypt advances in Olympic Tournament and an Egyptian club is making the mistake of taking away 3 important players? So i decided to investigate and i found out that Al Ahly changed it's mind in order to support the national team. They are not recalling the players and Egypt has a full squad to play tomorrow. Totally agree, Zagreb the better team and probably going to advance by winning in the 2nd leg, but Ludo comes inspired after winning bulgarian super cup last weekend and beating a good Dinamo Bucaresti team in a friendly 2 weeks ago while Zagreb have not played since May. Like Ludo to win at least 1-0 at home.

We can see that in Euro 96 and 04 the result of the first game was the same as the rematch, so i think a draw is a very possible outcome at the final. Italy is undefeated in official matches against Spain. 2 wins and 1 draw at World Cups and 1 win and 3 draws at Euros. Last Euro they went all the way to penalty kick shoot-outs in a quarterfinal match won by the spaniards. The fact that Spain doesn't look as good and strong as 4 years ago plus the current shape of the italian squad having defeated top favorite Germany and the way they did it, all points out to an italian victory very possibly in extra time or penalties.
I will keep looking for trends but there is a big one already against Spain, as no country has ever won back to back Euros.

Like former and average player (better known by this famous cuote than is football carrer) Gary Lineker once said: "football is a simple game, 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win"
Well not against the ITALIANS! Germany 0-4-4 in official matches!

The germans are done! they are never coming back 2 goals down against such a good defending team like Italy and with the best keeper in the world in Buffon. Italy is really the "black beast" of Germany as they are undefeated in all 7 official matches played in history. After beating them in their own world cup when italians were even a much larger underdog this is a done deal!

If that is the case, apologies, i thought you were making fun. Seems like trend is becoming reality. 2-0 and Germany looking bad. Good for you to make that bet.

How about this trend? Since Euro 88, every 8 years, the finalists of European Championships have played a rematch of a group game! If this weird trend continues, then Italy should face Spain on sunday's final.
Euro 88 final: Netherlands 2-0 USSR group match: Netherlands 0-1 USSR Euro 96 final: Czech Rep. 1-2 Germany (aet) group match: Germany 2-0 Czech Rep. Euro 04 final: Portugal 0-1 Greece group match: portugal 1-2 Greece Euro 12 final: Spain ?-? Italy? group match: Spain 1-1 Italy |

Thank god this international friendly is over. Praying for tomorrow's game not to be like this although i have a feeling the first exciting play between England and Italy is gonna be the first penalty kick of the shoot-outs!
