If I could quote your avatar, i'd give it a lot more than the handshake.
Also -- I agree that Deangelo has REALLY sparked Carolina's somewhat lackluster offense. I'd put him in the mix as long as Carolina keeps winning and he keeps scoring TDs. Seems like competing for his job with Stewart woke his ass up

Don't know why I even looked all that up but everyone hating on DWill I don't even like the panthers but IMO if you asked me to name the MY TOP 5 MVP canadadits I cant leave him out he started off the year fighting and losing his job but boy did he prove its his and he can carry that offense.

If the Redskins make the playoffs it has to go to Portis. This guy is a warrior and deserves the credit. What other back would play through the injuries this guy plays with? Other than Portis it is either Haynesworth, Romo (if the Cowboys make the playoffs), Eli Manning, or Adrian Peterson.

Injuries aren't good for MVP candidates. Kurt Warner did look like the guy who was going to get it. But the 2 men who have gotten it done are Matt Ryan and Drew Brees, facing off this weekend. Brees has the numbers to break Marino's record, which accounts for a lot. But with Ryan, he leads a young, hungry Falcon team to the promised land. If the Falcons make the playoffs do some damage, then I see MVP written all over that.

i've Warner was up there in the past but he's not now. You can't be the MVP when you can't take you team on the road and win a big game. He's had 5 of 6 chances this year and the Cards have failed every time. That's not an MVP, that's not a player making a difference. If he wins then it will be confirmed this award is a joke.
IMO Adrian Peterson and James Harrison are the best players in the league. They are impact players who play hard and can turn a game around on any play. If the Vikings make the playoffs and Peterson keeps up his pace for 1700-1800 rushing yards then he should win, he's the best AND MOST VALUABLE player. If not, then this award belongs to James Harrison.

I don't think it could be Warner. Arizona is 7-5 in that division. I can't say Favre because there is someone else on his team that ranks higher than him right now, Thomas Jones. Peyton Manning shouldn't even be in discussion, he's having a terrible year for Peyton Manning and the Colts standards. My ranks 1-5 are....
1) Michael Turner- 1,208 yards in 12 games without a good 2nd back to carry some of the load. 13 rush TD's
3) Adrian Peterson- 1,311 rush yards. 9 rush TD's... A total workhorse. Only real offense for the 1st place Vikings
4) Brandon Jacobs- 185 rushes, 950 yards. 5.1 ypc. 12 rush TD's, for the 1st place 11-1 Giants who have a 3 man rushing attack.
5) Drew Brees- 3,870 yards passing, 24 pass TD's without really big name receiver. Brees is getting it done this year but his team isn't which is the reason he's #5 on this list.

NO WAY does romo deserve it right now, and no way does he get it right now, but if you honestly think he isnt one of the most valuable players in the NFL you must not be watching the same nfl as me. cowboys fan? yes...rationale? yes.

If you watched the Colts games you would realize that Manning himself is the reason he has only been sacked 4 times. He is very mobile with in the pocket, he moves around to get a few extra seconds. That along with his quick release is the reason he isn't sacked. Watch every Colts game like I have and you'll obviously see that Peyton is the reason he has been sacked 4 times, the O-Line has been awful this year.
I personally don't think he should be the MVP but some of the stuff you used to oust him was a little wild. He has the 29th ranked rushing attack in the NFL. He has gotten no support what so ever from the rushing game mainly because the O-Line has been pretty bad.
Also an MVP means your teams success relies on your performance, look at Manning's numbers in wins and losses: Quarterback ratings in wins: 72.6, 101, 134.7 121.9, 95.8, 99.9, 92.5, 46.8
Other then that last game against the Browns he has been pretty good in wins, with most of the Colts success relying on his performance.
His ratings in the 4 losses:
81.8, 59, 46.6, 73.5
BTW there defense isn't good. They are weak against the run and unless they get pressure on the QB they are really exposed.
I am not preaching for Manning to win the MVP, but he is the KEY to the Colts success and I think taking him away puts the Colts at 3-9, 2-10...

Adrian Peterson..........he will lead the league in rushing especially after they play Detroit tommorow :) If their is no AP then Minny does nothing this year.......Defense is solid but AP runs the team

Rangerz, I was putting Ports ahead of AD because of their seasons to this point. The numbers are very similar, but I believe Portis has had a more MVP-like first 13 weeks. The way Peterson is turning it around, he could very well win it. Peyton has been very average this year, doesn't deserve to be in the consideration, Favre is still Favre, he isn't doing anything different in New York, not in the running for MVP. Haynesworth or Harrison will get some votes, but this is clearly an offensive award these days. Matt Ryan has had a great season, but IMO it's been more about Michael Turner than Ryan.
No matter what anyone says, it is completely up in the air at this point. Unlike last season, where it was Brady's award from the mid-point on.

KURT WARNER IS A SHOE IN. Where are the Cards with Leinert behind the center??? Brees has great numbers, but how in the world can a LAST PLACE team get any consideration???? The Cards win their division (Albeit a weaker division) But the numbers are there.. Plus, he has turned the Culture there, and deserves it. A close second is Peyton Manning. Anyone on here saying they will take Eli over Peyton would be foolish in doing so. The Giants have the best running attack in the NFL!!! The Colts are 29th in the League!!! (BTW Guess who works with the WORST Running Attack in the League?? Kurt Warner!! ) However, the Colts are winning, with Peyton getting it done late. How unstoppable would the Giants be with Peyton??? No way that Eli is better than Peyton... NO WAY.
Kurt Warner MVP - as of Today Peyton Manning - MVP if the Colts win out
