Well Gents,
I really can't offer more than this to convince you to make a bet on the Bills.
Today is the day or forget it.
After the Jets #1 receiver Marshall asked for his release, the Jets said "Sure! No problem!" and he left out the back door with an ear to ear smile, to the Giants.
Then the Jets had a new #1 WR: Eric Decker. So what did they do? They cut him.
The plan was "Play the young guys and let them develop!"
Well, that plan has turned into a dumpster fire at this position.
Why? Because the 'young guys' were guys like Quincy Enunwa.
Well guess what happened today: Quincy is gone with injury...for the entire season.
That's 3 number #1's...gone...
This is what the Jets are left with at WR, easily the worst WR core in my lifetime (prepare to shudder violently):
The Jets are left without their top receiver and will have to patch things together with the likes of Robby Anderson, Jalin Marshall (who starts the season on a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy), Charone Peake and rookies ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen. Maccagnan may add depth once preseason cuts are made. Pickings will be slim from an assortment of castoffs.
This may change the potential stater at the QB position. While it's long been stated it will be McCown, with no one to throw to, the Jets may throw Hackenberg (who has admittedly been sharper in recent drills) to the wolves to really embrace the 'young over old' mentality. And if he starts in Buffalo, forget it. Forget it even if McCown starts too.
Decker gone. Harris gone. Marshall gone. Enunwa gone. Jets do not sign a QB of worth. And after all this, the line...stays right where it is. 6.5...
All of this is worth ZERO points on the line? Come on. Why hasn't the line moved? Well, no one is paying attention. Well I am. And I'm here to tell you to bet super square on this one. And if this post doesn't convince to lay under a TD to the Jets, nothing will.
Oh, and the Bills just shored up their WR position even more after drafting Zay Jone because they singed Boldin today (a guy the Jets could have had for a little under $3 million and didn't even give a sniff, which should tell you all you need to know).
