gridironguy, everything you are claiming here is wrong. Everything.
1) As far as the Cavs are concerned, they are a completely different team, who lost their number 1 option, and then suffered a half a dozen different injuries. Not to mention that they built that team with players attempting to compliment James. They are not built to win in their current state. Anytime a team loses its best player, combined with significant injuries, they are going to lose. Bringing the Cavs franchise into this discussion is not reasonable.
2) Can you really call Parker and Ginobili stars in 2005? Yeah they are great now, but they did not have the same impact then.
3) Who was Wade's second guy in 2006? If you say Shaq, Walker, or Payton, this thread should be closed down immediately.
4) David Robinson was well past his prime when Duncan got his first title. Robinson had his superstar years, before Duncan. He literally wasn't even playing 30 minutes a game when Duncan won his first title. Look it up.
5) In 2004 there was no single star. Billups, Hamilton, Prince, and Wallace were all great players. None of them were consistent superstars or Olympic caliber players.
6) Maybe Dirk Nowitski in 2011? We will see.
I understand you are trying to argue Lebron's greatness, but your arguments themselves are very unintelligent.
Lebron James is a great player, we all know this. But he is so overhyped past his true ability. Wade already won a title on his own. Wade is the superman, Lebron is the sidekick. If Lebron wanted to be superman he needed to stay with a franchise and build around himself, exactly like Dirk did. He can't jump ship and go play with one of the top 5 players in the league, who has already won a title.
Lebron will never, ever reach the status of Jordan, Kobe, Duncan, or Wade, because Lebron had to create an unprecented all star trio to potentially get his title. They may win a title this year, Lebron may win the MVP even, but he will still not be in the same class of the all time greats. Sorry.

Let's not forget the very same thing happened in Boston a few years back. Resigned Pierce, went after Ray and KG.
Why is this Miami team any different?
KG bailed on Minnesota?

All the stars have someone to play with, yes ! But, also none of the star player left their team to join the other stars.
I've never heard " Superman " move in spiderman's house and batman join them later on......
This's typical " If u can't beat them, join them. " theroy
I'll say it again KG. Allen too.

Does it really bother you Lebron had a show on ESPN? Let me guess, it bothered you so much you tuned in yourself.

As I remember, KG & Allen got trade by their teams. It's different than the star player walked away their team in the end of the contract.
I also believe LBJ & Bosh have both sending their old team wrong signal (looks like they may stay there) so their team won't get anything back from the way they left.
I'll never believe Bosh doesn't know where he wants to go at the end of his contract . He simply doesn't want the raptors management to know so they can trade him before the deadline to get something in return. If that's the way u re going to treat the team/city who draft u, give u chances to play pro ball, take care of u when u re injury.......how u expect ppl to respect them. I really don't care how many championship they re going to win.
