Makaninja!!!!!
I'm backing the Nuggets simply on principle.
Playing in Denver on the 2nd night of a B2B is brutal for any team. And history shows that the Nugs tend to destroy teams coming in there in that situation. The Pepsi center will be rocking, the players will be fired up.
Something else to consider: With all the trade rumors going around with Melo, maybe a big win tonight against Miami will convince him and everyone else that he's in a really good situation in Denver. That he doesn't need to go anywhere because all the peices are already there to make a legitimate title run. And if they just come together and play ball, they can beat anyone. Even the mighty Miami Heat.
I think Denver wins this outright and running away.
If Denver beats Miami as bad as the Lakers beat the Cavs a few days ago, that still won't change Melo's mind. He doesn't want to be there.
I like Denver tonight, however not for any of the reasons you do.
