Oh - and Spitfire - on the watermelon issue....
I love the stuff. In the summer I get those massive melons, and after playing with it in the pool with the kids (kind of like a water polo game), cut that bad boy open and devour.
Sometimes I throw a little feta in it, sometimes I drizzle some balsamic on it - but I do like my watermelon.
I have even been known to buy the mini's in the offseason for up to 10 bucks each just to get my fix!

Before I come, can you answer a few questions about Macon for me?
1. Will I need to bring a scarf?
2. What colors are the summer colors there?
3. Does Macon have a lively poetry scene?
4. I have a shirt that says "Makin Bacon". Would that be OK to wear?
Thanks,
Vanzack

Dude - that is a really nice car.
I have been on a green kick. I wanted to get a volt or a leaf - but why not spend about 20K more than the leaf, or 10k more than the volt for the Tesla?
It is only about 50K (depending on which one you get can go up to about 65K). Depending on which model you get, range is much better than anything out there - up to 300 MP charge.
And it is a flat out beautiful car that is sick in performance (0-60 in 5.6 seconds - this is no prius!).

It is really a great company. And a great story.
They bought the NUMI plant out in Freemont California and are set for production to start soon.
I am putting up either 5k or 40K (40K gets you one of the first 1000 produced) - still have yet to decide - just has to do with risk.
But I am pretty convinced that this will come off and I hope to be one of the first with this new American car.

Yeah, dont love the roadster either - but performance guys do - check out the specs on it.

looks cool
Not to sure about having it all electric I think a hybrid version would be a safer option
300 mile range though.
I agree though, there will be some "range anxiety" until I get used to it.

How could anybody say Macon wrong? I mean how else could you possibly say it?

50K out the door.
Save $2k a year on gas.
It aint cheap, but not too expensive either to get in to the luxury market.
