oregon got embarrassed and should respond with a much better effort playing in front of the home crowd , even without the RB. Interesting game for sure. Purdue should have confidence after putting up 52 on the board and if the defense can correct some of its mistakes then I think they can cover.

Whether Oregon rebonds or is still hungover...I'm not sure it really matters. Boilers are playing with a chip on their shoulder. Danny Hope has the fire that Tiller lost years ago. The player's have bought into Hope's fire and enthusiasm. Purdue's offense, in my opinion is much improved over last despite losing some personel. The Purdue offense has always been able to reload sort of speak since 1997 (Tiller's first year). This year is no different except the play calling isn't the stagnant unimagintive play calling of Tiller's latter years. The element of surprise is back. The offensive line is much improved. Personally, I feel this is a better offensive unit overall than last year. Capable of passing AND running the football. Early in the season here I feel the offense is a little underrated, but that will change. As far as the defense goes, yes there is uncertainty. However, the defense does have playmakers back there. They gave up a ton of yards on a lot of quick routes where the d-line couldn't get a push. Look for that to get corrected this week. D-line is certainly a strength with 2 300 pounders stuffing the middle. Oregon likes to run, and I'm sure Purdue won't mind them trying. I see a lot of yards piled up on both sides. To me Purdue has the momentum coming in and I'd rather have that then coming off a horrible game where there is alot of uncertainty like Oregon. I just don't see Oregon beating Purdue let alone by 11.5. gl

Autzen stadium is a very tough place to play.Oregon started last year in a shakey manor......but got it together for a run down the stretch. The thing for me is the new coach..........is he the right guy........is he connecting with the players like Bilotti was able too??? I don't think so. I think Purdue can play with Oregon and even beat them.......but I think the Ducks probably pull this one out at home. Too many points in this game and too many first year coaches, new RB's and question marks. I'll stay away......

Leaning Purdue also.. lots of points, Oregon O'line is new and will have troubles again this week... Although they might pull out the victory I believe Purdue covers.. be back. Sharp

BUT i still think that Purdue "big-win" last week against Toledo was a false big win... 3 huge plays in 1st Q & purdue was up 21-0... but yet Toledo had better time of possesion in 1st half... they were moving the ball on purdue... BUT purdue in 1st half had a pik, a 73yd up the gut jailbreak td run, & a 49yd jailbreak td run in 1st half..
i just think that "big" purdue win was/is a bit over rated... exact reason why i came back with Toledo $line last night & thats why i like OREGON -13...
i'll take an emotional-homecoming-embarrassment-rebound over a false-looking big win
just not sure why line is so high to begin with & rising? wtf geez, maybe purdue is that bad in reality? haha they'll probabaly go back to being the usual "13 point purdue"
