Rutgers +2.5 on matchbook (local has 2 of course he does)
How can I not play them? Thursday night home dog...better running game.
Thanks to a few posters who pointed out the obvious to me which I didnt see.
USF's defense is predicated on team speed and lateral movement (same as Rutgers) and the same sort of power running game that MD beat Rutgers with, Rutgers can use to beat USF. I'm hoping that Schiano runs Rice right at George Selvie for the first few plays to get him to calm down and not decapitate Mike Teel. Running and play action pass will be the way for Rutgers to win this game. Their passing game looked great v Cincy when they lined up 4 wide and ran underneath crossing patterns to Tim Brown #2. Keep an eye on him...he is the fastest guy on the team...recruited for track as well I heard.
Big kicking advantage with Ito at home as well.
If I can get higher than +120 on the ML, I may take it also.
Weather tonight locally should be crappy...it's foggy and about 60 or so...supposed to get a little warmer and rain this evening.

it seems only reason people are taking uconn is because of the "+3"
beside them. louisville is only laying a fg and this jumped out
right away. Brohm dissected this secondary last season and I see
no reason he can't do it again. The top 2 WRs Douglas and
Uurtia are healthy now and Brohm has a chance to put his name
back into the heisman discussion with a national tv game (both
those WRs were out vs Utah). Louisville only has 1 loss in the BIg East
so that win vs Cincy really has them feeling they can still do
something in this conference. i don't believe in letdown spots
when you are in conference and playing on national t.v. Uconn has
beaten nothing but cupcakes, while Louisville has played its best
football on the road this year. you guys really think Uconn is
the better team?? i just want to know why

koaj i think you were right the first time about this being a no play. you let these guys talk you into a rutgers play. you figured if you didnt bet you would be rooting for rutgers anyway so what the hell. i always appreciate you're insight and home dogs on thursday have been money. its not like they are getting 7 it is virtually a pk. the original thoughts you had about south florida being the better team is true. this south florida team is focused on the task at hand. they also have a little revenge on their mind.

moochie - simple rule "teams with shit defense shouldnt lay points on the road"...i probably wont take Uconn...just liked it in initially for that reason
bkane - you know it probably is a no play but...i think some of the reasons ive listed about why i'm taking rutgers should help you understand my thoughts...north/south power running against a team built to run side to side on defense; thursday night home dogs among others

koaj i was all over rutgers at home vs. lville last year along with you. last year rutgers was the cinderella this year its s.fla. both great coaches and should be a smashmouth game. give me grothe over teel anyday and that is the big difference in this game. my lean is on the bulls. i dont know if im going to play it but will see. i cant believe that most of the solid cappers are on rutgers. you would think this game was a no brainer since nobody is on the bulls.

well...the majority of the gen pop is on USF - cant fault them. however, covers is not the best representative of the general population. it seems like the thursday night home dog has been harped on long enough here where people are catching on

well the general public are morons obviously they would be on the team that is ranked #2 in the country. i was just referring to the gamblers on this site that are respected. however the rutgers bandwagon is pretty full from last year.

It's really hard to sell a play in SFL @ Rutgers. To me it's clearly SFL is the better team with bigger goal in their minds (championship). Rutgers is not the last year team and @ 4-2, they can forget dreaming about playing in National Champ game. If force to play I will pick SFL to win or no play. I do see that the line movement (-3 down to -2.5/-2) is worrying me - could be a trap line and Rutgers win. I hope by game time the line move back up to -3, then i will pound SFL.
For SFL, I hope they do realized that this year is a special year, an exceptional year, for teams like SFL to ever think of playing in National Championship, not to mention of winning one.
This is a Special Year for SFL and they ranked #2 because:
1. SFL is good, and we will know soon enought if they are really really that good after tonight.
2. This is unique, Except OH ST., the rest of the so called Elite Teams like USC, LSU, Florida, OK..etc., are falling and dropping in the ranking like crazy. This make way for teams like SFL to be ranked that high @#2 and give them a chance/hope/dream of playing in National Champ Game, if and only if they win all games for the rest of the season.
So the bottom line is this is their year. this is their chance to play in the nat'l champ game. All they have to do is win the rest games which is attainable and they are in. So I hope SFL see this and go out and play their hearts and minds out evey game (which is very hard) begin tonight @ Rutgers. so:

Have to disagree with you about taking the +2.5... What kind of juice did you get/pay? The play in this game is a Rutgers ingame bet... If Rutgers leads from start to finish, then I guess I am wrong... Highly doubtful RU leads from start to finish don't you thihk? I have only been shut out twice this year when trying to get ingame bets... Well woth the risk IMHO.... There is usually plenty of Ingame interest on the Thursday night game.....

My real ? here is, barring OT, does anyone think it will go over 58 here. i think it looks real solid and i have a ton of key #'s to hit both bets 3,4,6,7. Gl

nropp - sometimes bob works for you, sometimes he works against you. nothing worse than getting +3 and having dr bob move it 3 points against you to +6

I watched that ESPN clip...isn't Vegas overreacting to Dr. Bob just a bit? Does he really have that many people following him? Amazing his release could move a line 3 points like that, but the MICH-ILL maybe should've opened at pick anyway.
