Hello everyone and welcome to Mr. Stache Bowl game thread. I will be making all picks through this thread. Full game, 2nd Half, and possible live betting.
Most games I will be waiting until halftime to key in on 2nd half totals. The reason for this is because of the long layoff both teams endure. These layoffs often create a circus in the 1st half. Turnovers, poor defensive play, stagnant offenses, etc. In the 2nd half teams get more into a rhythm whether be offensively or defensively.
I will post units for the bowl season. All picks will be between 1-5 units. Most often 2-4 units will be played.

This is ULL 3rd consecutive trip to R&L Carriers bowl. They used to be the hometown team, now Tulane comes in playing at home. Tulane has the better defense. They force lots of turnovers. Even if QB Broadway plays I dont think he will be effective. If QB Haack starts, this makes the more predictable. Haack not nearly the same threat with his legs. Tulane has the better K, Santos will be a huge factor in this game. Great kicker inside at home. ULL was more dynamic last year in my opinion.

Both defenses are not that bad. Since QB Hendricks took over for Southwick Boise's offense has been very average relying on the run game. This might be the best defense Boise has faced since Utah St when Southwick was running the offense. Oregon State held some good teams to low point totals down the stretch.
Oregon State points against vs teams with decent offenses
Washington St. 24
Stanford 20
USC 31
Arizona St 30 **14 of those points off pick 6 and 15 yard short field
Oregon 36
Washington 69 ** Not sure what happened there. Im willing to overlook this game
Boise State offensive point totals since Southwick went down
20 at BYU
30 at Colorado St
48 vs Wyoming **Hawaii, San Jose St, Colorado St put up more on Wyoming
28 at San Diego State (prior to OT)
45 vs New Mexico **Pitt, UNLV, Col St, Fresno St put up more
Boise State Distractions
-Peterson gone - This might affect 2nd half offensive adjustments, and the timing of use of the trick play or wrinkle at the right time.
-Southwick getting sent home for peeing off a balcony then taking a lie detector test to prove his innocence. This means there might be a rat on the team. Someone had to tell coaching/administration that Southwick did it. I think QB Hendricks will feel some of this pressure cause he knows that Southwick should be in there starting his final game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it go over, but I also think there is an equal chance that Oregon St wins 45-13 than there is it being 45-41.
A lot of reasons to see it going over as both teams have good offenses and bad defenses statistically, but I also see it as it's in Hawaii and sometimes distracted teams don't come to play at all. Oregon St D has held some decent offenses in check. Boise will want to run the ball, and I think Oregon st will run the ball more than most people think
