Ball_Picker (much better than Nose_Picker) take my advice and open an account with Bookmaker. They are top-notch and of course they pay promptly. I think most of the top cappers on here have Bookmaker accounts.

Here are the rankings for the last 5 recruiting classes for both schools.
2004 FL (#7) LSU (#2)
2005 FL (#15) LSU (#22)
2006 FL (#2) LSU (#7)
2007 FL (#1) LSU (#4)
2008 FL (#3) LSU (#11)
In other words, both teams have comparable talent and speed. The Gators have no significant advantage in either catagory.

Glad to find this forum, a lot of good stuff being talked about.
Being a Tiger fan, I wanted to add a little input. Shocked when I saw the line at -6 and had to grab it. I hardly ever bet a LSU game but that a few too many points for me not to. Not really seeing where the Tigers are overrated and since I don't feel that any of the teams ahead of them are much better, I believe they do deserve the number 4 slot.
Granted, they barely beat Auburn at their place and didn't look too good against Miss. St. but here are my thoughts on those games. LSU never looks good against Auburn- it's always a battle no matter who has more talent on the field - As bad as their offense is, I'm glad that game is over and won't see them again until next year. Miss. St. was about to turn into a big time blowout but 2 back to back turnovers and a long drive by Miss. St. kept it close. LSU has throttled State for years, they were bound to cover sooner or later.
I'm not saying LSU is going to beat Florida in the swamp, I believe if LSU doesn't turn the ball over 3 times this should be a pick it game so 6 points is a little too many in my opinion. I believe LSU will be able to run the ball just fine with their offensive line healthy. I like the progress of the freshman QB but I'm assuming he would be a little wide eyed the first time in the swamp. Also, LSU plays a couple of freshman in the secondary quite often so I'm a little concerned about a couple of big plays (passes) by Tebow.
I jumped on the +6 with LSU, but I think Florida will be a great 1st half bet - I think they are going to come out strong. I believe the talent and depth on the offensive and defensive line for LSU will wear down the Gators in the second half and keep the score within the 6. Interested to see the ML but will probably stay away - If both teams play turnover free, I think it will be close and a pick em either side

Nice writeup Tiger. I'm a huge Bama fan and I think LSU should still be ranked ahead of Bama. LSU matches up very well against Bama, so I don't think there will be a repeat of the Clemson/Georgia beatdowns in Baton Rouge.
As far as the Florida game is concerned, I agree that there is no justification for giving LSU that many points. I think Florida is soft at the line-of-scrimmage and LSU will get the better of it on both sides of the ball. I haven't checked the line lately, but I hope the +6 is still holding up.

I think the coaches are equal. They both did good with their former programs and have won a championship at their new school. So throw that out.
Also, Miami covered in the swamp and Ole Miss beat them in the swamp.
I like +6 in an SEC game between these two. The one advantage and it may prove to be big is Tebow vs the Fr Qb but I think LSU D will be able to hold them in check.
If this is a night game, Ilike the Tigers even more but if it drops under +6 I may take Gators if I take it at all.

Btw, I wanted to let you guys know that Beckwith is a definite go for this game. Captain and 3 year starter at linebacker that hasn't played in the last 2 games.
"I'm very good physically and I'm fresh," Beckwith said Monday afternoon in the players' interview session. "I'm probably the freshest guy on the team. The guys have been teasing me and saying I've been off for five weeks, but really it's been only three."

After the Ole Miss loss, my friend and I were goofing around and role playing about what must be going on in the Gator locker room. I thought it was a pretty hillarious, so I put it in writing. The next day I modified it after Tebow hearing Tebow blaming himself for the loss.
Like you say, being a Gator fan, you understand some of the subtly jokes in there that some others probably don't. I actually posted it in a Bama message board. Later I decided to copy and paste in here after I was in a Florida discussion on here with somebody. I probably should have put it in its own thread. Anyhow, I'm glad you enjoyed it!!!
What are your thoughts about the Gator/LSU game?
