I LOVE THE INFO HERE GUYS.
I love it when people who see these teams play throw in info. The "eye-test" is one of the best ways to gauge a team.
I agree that KU is deep enuf to overcome this line.
From what I get from people calling it a "trap" game is that it's not that Vegas knows something on whether a team is going to cover or not, but you open up the line at 6 and the "sharps" (as they call them) would hammer that line.
If you open it up at -4 KU, KU backers eyes get BIG and start laying tons of money on it to counter-react the "sharps" dropping tons o money on the +6.
By opening at -4 for KU, TONS of money comes in from the "square" bettors, forcing the line up to where they "know" the sharps will be hitting, which, as somebody stated, the line will go back down, where the people who weren't quick enuf with their clickers last night at -4 KU, will be looking to get in when the line drops (plus dumbly buy points IMO) to get back to that great line of -4 KU.
As I have figured out from people who say this is a "trap" bet, it doesn't mean that they are trying to "trap" you, but it's a way of getting MORE money on this game, which, if you understand how the almighty Vegas (and all of the BUSINESSES called sportsbooks) make their money: THE JUICE.
Simple formula: TONS of $ x TAXATION = HUGE PROFIT
little $ x TAXATION = small profit
The almighty Vegas must've taken notes from the US government that takes a third of what we make out of our paychecks and then additional takes about 5% on everything we buy, PLUS charge us all sorts of other taxes such as buying a used car that they already made tax money on.
OK, so Vegas doesn't rape us that much, but you get the picture.
BOL guys
I was all over KU when the -4 line came into existence.
Vegas threw me the "bait" and I'm hooked!
Go KU!

I lean Kansas as well but will probably stay away from this game. If Kansas State wins, it will make their season. The more I think about it, I think this one goes down to the wire. Probably, Kansas pulling it out by 3 or 4.

THANK YOU REYES ,
That is soooo true, their is no such thing as a trap!! Do the lines makers know the out come of the game already?? If they do and only if they do would this or any other game be a trap. Im no " CAPPER" by any means, but i do know that all they want is = $ and they win. I also know that they adjust line safter they are put out to keep the $ =. If it was a trap , then why would they adjust, just keep it the same and take everbody that fell for the "TRAP"

I really don't think you get David!! I never said this line was wrong or right. Wether the line is wrong or right WILL ONLY be determined after the game. So maybe it is you that needs to read slowly and understand. My statement was to state their is no such thing as a trap BECAUSE wether ur to shallow to understand it or not, THEY (the lines makers since you are slow to understand) DO NOT KNOW THE RESULT OF THE GAME!!! This line , just as with any line is put out with the knowledge the books have. I'm positive they know more about these two teams than all of us on this site. I do know that they put a line out and adjust accordingly to get EQUAL action.
So before you want to try and disrepesct someone or attack someone, maybe you should proof read!!!
HERE IS YOUR WORDS! LOOKS LIKE YOUR A
CONTRADICTING ASS TO ME!!!
"No worries man, I certainly wasn't looking to attack and apologize if it came off that way. I just shared my view on games like this and it is what is. Some will agree, others won't. Not everyone looks at things the same. GL to you tomorrow and the rest of the season"

Game also resembles Ariz vs Ariz st last nite,,,,Arizona - 5 at in-state rival Arizona st...The line dropped in Ariz st favor to -4.-4.5 and we all know the outcome....K st looks horrible this yr. after all the squares bet on K-st driving the line down..I will gladly take. KANSAS LARGE

Or, if I may be bold enough to translate:
Wow. Everybody who has actually seen these teams play likes Kansas. I'll start backing off now.
