I have lost 1500 recently but won 5g last month and 3g on the Ravens. This thread is solely just to get people's opinions.
Last night had 2 games that were VERY VERY sketchy and seemed to prove my point that once a game is over...the winner has been decided, that the games are then made to rig.
#1 Florida @ Arkansas....no one saw that coming..Arkansas blowing them out but the 2h o/u was 75.5. The total was at 30 at the 11 min mark (pretty good pace but you could still lose). The total at the 6:30 mark was 47 ( pretty good pace...28 pts in 6 minutes shouldnt happen in a BLOWOUT). Arkansas had previously called a time out at 6:30 to maybe slow down the pace? Get Florida out of sync? So out of the time out Arkansas scores, then Florida scores..no big deal but then another Arkansas timeout is IMMEDIATELY called. This would only make sense if Arkansas' coach was like hey slow it down...make each possession count and it's impossible for them to come back. But out of the time out at 6:00 min mark the pace stayed the same if not increased. Arkansas up 20 is shooting with 25 left on the shot clock...teams making an upset don't do that...they run the clock down in order to limit possessions. Also at 5:13 Erik Murphy made a layup..to cut the lead down to 17. Mardacus Wade on Florida IMMEDIATELY fouls in the back court (clearly NOT going for the steal). This continued but there was still a chance. it was at 66 with 1:30 left...10 points in 90 seconds in a BLOWOUT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN...there should be no more than 4 posessions left. Yet Arkansas shoots within 10 seconds of the shot clock starting...and florida continues their fouling in the back court, forcing free throws. Now the sketchiest part is this...florida is down 15 with 50 seconds left...they foul in the back court and the arkansas player hits both FT's (Making the 2h total at 75)...Florida comes down and immediately hits a 3...oh man people lose the 2h under...so florida has cut the lead to 14 with 42 seconds left...they foul right?? NOPE...and Arkansas then for the first time in the game begins to run clock. As soon as the 2h over hit they stopped fouling.
#2 Kansas State vs TTech +11...public was on K-state -11...Kansas state up 11 with 1 min left...they turn it over (which does happen i understand) and give up a dunk...cutting the lead to 9 with 28 seconds left...so texas tech calls a TIMEOUT...like hey lets set up our defense...trap and foul if we have to...do they foul?? nope...so texas tech called a timeout to tell their players not to foul..? also their was contact not called by the official.
Now it is suspect as to whether or not players know about 2h lines because their busy playing...BUT COACHES AND REFEREES 100% KNOW THE LINES. the NBA referee that got caught even said "alot more people in a game are involved than you think" Referees definitely know the spreads and o/u's and have been known to not only bet on them but also get paid to make sure that some lines hit...
Now the integrity of the sport is not effected too much because referees RARELY impact the game so much to change the winner...but they definitley affect the point spread and over unders...
I have never seen a team up 25 with 10 minutes left and still consistently run the floor...shoot within 10 seconds of the shot clock. Most teams will slow it down...run the half court offense to limit the other teams posessions.
NOW DON'T GET ON HERE SAYING STOP COMPLAINING...OR STOP BETTING...cause this is a topic just for discussion...wondering if any one else has been a part of anything sketchy...or even agrees with me.
