Bautista out, Lawrie activated for favored Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays will be without Jose Bautista for the second straight game.

Rumors circulated earlier in the day that the right fielder would make his return to the lineup. The Blue Jays official Twitter feed announced the starting lineup, which did not include Bautista.

Third baseman Brett Lawrie was a confirmed starter and will bat sixth.

Lawrie began the season on the disabled list with a strained rib cage suffered at the World Baseball Classic. He has been rehabbing at Single-A Dunedin.

The Jays are -160 favorites and the total is 9.
