I like over 28. Petrino should be able to put at least 21 up and ol miss will continue to run all over this shoddy defense

With Mathieu and his backup Simon out LSU will be somewhat short handed, but like someone else said LSU's secondary is very deep even tho its full of sophmores. They are damn good sophmores. None of these suspensions will matter in the Bama game either bc LSU has capable backups at running back built from the same mold as spencer ware. Also that game will be won on the offensive and defensive lines. Whoever dominates in the trenches will win no matter who is playing running back and corner back |

Teaser - Your right there is no way they cover 12 even with Ware and Mathieu out. As far as LSU looking at Auburn as the cocky champs. I think LSU has too much swagger to look anyone but themselves. I don't think thats a bad thing either. I love watching a team that plays with confidence that walks on the field with an attitude of we don't care who you are we're just that good. Good luck with your plays btw who is that smoking hot chick in your avatar? |

I'll agree they are very ugly to watch, and I wouldn't consider a 7-5 win season very good for any team no matter what was done the previous year. You more than made your point about Auburn being terrible. I was just responding to your comment "What is surprising about Auburn". Imo 5-2 record is surprising right now. As for Georgia beating Auburn by DD. Have you watched Georgia play this year?? They beat Vandy by 5, Tenn by 8, Miss St. by 14 (2 turnovers inside the 30 gave Georgia 10 easy pts) beat Ol Miss by 14, loss to USC. Georgia may win but it will be closer than DD good luck with your plays this week bud |

Tappy - the surprising thing is Auburn is 5-2. I have a lot of friends who graduated from Alabama who sound a lot like you. Auburn is garbage, terrible football team, and what not. I do not think they are a very good football team myself, but ask yourself did you think Auburn would be 5-2 after 7 games this season? I don't expect them to beat LSU or Alabama. They should beat Ol Miss and Samford, and will have a shot to beat Georgia. Worst case senario they should finish the season at 7-5. You can't tell me you honestly thought auburn would win more than 5 at the beginning of the season. |

Arkansas -16.5 at Ol Miss This is Arkansas's second road game of the season, and I'm sure they are looking for a better performance than the one they put up in Bryant Denny. With the exception of that Bama game Arkansas has avg over 6.5 yds/play. Ol Miss is avg 4yds/play and just got demoralized at home by Alabama. I'm really betting this game more on my perception of teams than anything else. Arkansas wants to show it belongs in the SEC west division. To do that you beat up on the weaker links. This coupled with the fact that Bobby Petrino likes to run the score up points me to Arkansas I like betting against teams the week after they have played Alabama/LSU. Because these are big physical teams that beat ppl up. It takes more than a week to get over the nicks and bruises that these guys put on ppl. Arkansas is coming off a bye week. More rested better prepared Arkansas should put up as many as they want against this tired Ol MIss defense. Final Ark 49 Ol Miss 17 |

teaser - this is Auburn's national championship and for LSU this is just another stop in the road to November 5. I'm hoping the both teams focus on running the ball will bleed clock long enough to get the cover. Good luck this week atlanta - always glad to be on your side trackem - I'm a homer as well. I rarely bet on Auburn with the exception of last year i bet them every game. This just feels like a spot where LSU is taking them lightly and Auburn will come in juiced. Mosley looked so much better in the pocket last week. Standing tall, actually reading the defensive end of the zone read play and keeping the ball, and the over the shoulder toss to Lutz was right on the money. Hope he can make a pass or two like that saturday.

Auburn +22.5 LSU's defense has been dominate all year long allowing only (4 yds/play and 11 pts/game) However in the past two games they have allowed over 100 yds rushing and have shown they can be suceptible to the short passes (screens and quick hitters) which is how WV racked up 450 passing yds on this team. Auburn's offense vs LSU's defense Auburn is starting a new QB this week in Clint Mosley. He replaced Barrett Trotter in the second half of the Florida game last week and made some pretty good touch passes and reads. No doubt he will struggle with LSU's blitz intensive schemes. Auburn's o-line is going to have to play their best game to date to give Mosley any chance at all. Malzan knows his offensive line is weak so it will be a lot of 3 step drops/quick reads in hopes of keeping his qb upright and catching LSU out of position in a blitz package. With all that being said about the QB situation. Mike Dyer will be key to this game. He has become a more physical style runner since the season began, and thats exactly what he needs to be against this hard nosed defense. Dyer will carry the ball 20+ times in hopes to set up Mosley with some play action opportunities. If Dyer can rush for 100, Auburn should be able to eat up enough clock to stay within the number. LSU's offense vs Auburn's defense Auburn's defense has seen dramatic improvements since game one. However they have not seen an offense this physical yet. Against the physical rushing attack of LSU you need a good d-line and a very good linebackers. Auburn's d-line is good to a certain extent. Their linebackers are not good. They struggle in space to make tackles and typically end up "catching" running backs instead of exploding through them. I'm really just looking for Auburn to load the box and trust their secondary. T'sharven Bell on Rueben Randle will be a good matchup. Randle is obviously more talented but Bell runs/tackels well and should be able to keep big plays to a minimum. Auburn should be able to slow LSU down enough to keep them under 5 touchdowns, and their offense should be good for two touchdowns. The final should read something like LSU 31 Auburn 17. I think I may take Auburn first half if i can get a decent number. LSU has struggled to get going lately. |

Austin - I would tread lightly there. I am not very good at totals but I have this Auburn/LSU game capped at LSU 31 to 17. Both teams have the ability to create points via special teams, and LSU's defense can score in a hurry as well. Defensive TD's and special teams TD's always spell trouble for an under play. Good luck with your play though Brass stones |

CP - i like Auburn + the points. With that being said i was in Baton Rouge two years ago when LSU dismantled Auburn to the tune of 33 to 3 or something like that. Hope Auburn can put up some sort of fight. Atlanta - I like Vandy too. Good call on Georgia last week should have listened to ya. Elite - good luck with your pool man. I think I'll probably be backing auburn with you. I just can't bring myself to bet against bama right now. |

3 losing weeks in a row have pretty much depleted any bankroll i had built up 2-3 last week -3.9 units Some notes around the SEC - didn't get to watch many games this weekend due to helping cook 10 slabs of ribs, 5 chickens, 5 pork tenderloins, 10 pounds of wings at our tailgate. And by helping cook i mean drinking beer and watching all the pretty coeds go by while standing in close proximity to the grill. 1. Steve Spurrier thank you for taking the safety with 4 seconds left instead of just tossing the ball as far down the field as possible to run the clock out. I understand the play but in the words of ESPN..."Come on Man" haha 2. USC what do you do now??? 3. Auburn continues to surprise and Florida continues to disappoint. 4. Clint Mosley looks like Auburn's new QB. 5. Bama and LSU are machines that can't be stopped Hopefully going to get things back on track this weekend. Good luck to everyone this week. |

Fla -2 @ Auburn Fla coming off two blowout losses to the two best teams in the nation and looking to bounce back this week. Right now Auburn's offense is really struggling to score points. They have been moving the ball well, but when they get inside the 30 they tend to turn the ball over. In the last two games they have 7 turnovers. Granted two turnovers were on trick plays but they are turnovers none the less. Auburn's offense will continue to center around Mike Dyer getting the ball 25+/game. Florida knows this and will put 8 guys in the box to stuff the run. Florida tried to do this against LSU and Bama, but both of those teams have deep, experienced, and big offensive lines that can still get a push against Florida's athletic but smaller d-line. Auburn doesn't have these huge well rounded lineman, and Florida should be able to stuff the run forcing Barrett Trotter to beat them with his arm. With Auburn's top two receivers still banged up I don't see this happening. Last week against Arkansas Auburn had more drops than completetions. Florida's offense has been bottled up the past two weeks against a quality defense. Auburn doesnt have a quality defense. They have greatly improved since the beginning of the year but still struggle to tackle, and are very susceptible to the big play. Auburn's d-line has been getting a better push as of late, but Charlie Weis will be throwing three step drops all night for several reasons. 1. It gives his rookie qb's easy/confidence building throws. 2. keeps his jersey clean 3. you dont have to go deep against Auburn quick hitters to Rainey will be the ticket Saturday. Auburn will not be able to tackle him in space. On the flip side if Auburn's freshman qb can make some plays through the air. Enough to keep the defense off balance Auburn could win the game. But the chances of that happening are very slim. Charlie Weis > Ted Roof Final Fla 31 Auburn 24 |
