The Edmonton Oilers have been an offensive force against the Los Angeles Kings, netting 17 goals through three games to co-lead all clubs in the opening round of the NHL playoffs.
My Oilers vs. Kings predictions zero in on Zach Hyman, who has been a big part of Edmonton’s offensive success with six goals, including a pair in Game 3 and at least one tally in all three contests.
Find out how Hyman features in my best bet for my NHL picks and predictions on Sunday, April 28.

My best bet
Zach Hyman anytime goal (+110 at SIA)
My analysis
Zach Hyman was all over the score sheet again for the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3, netting two goals on four shots to help the visitors skate to a dominant 6-1 win against the Los Angeles Kings and taking a 2-1 series lead.
After netting a career-high 54 goals in the regular season, Hyman has carried his hot stick into the playoffs with an NHL-leading six tallies in three games. I’ll look for him to keep it going with another goal in Game 4 as tonight’s best bet.
The Oilers winger has feasted in front of the net all year, notching a league-leading 180 shots and 44 goals from the high-danger zone per NHL EDGE. His net-front presence has been just as successful against the Kings in this series with Hyman again leading the league in high-danger shots and goals.
With Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, arguably the two best passers in the NHL, skating alongside him, Hyman's success at the top of the crease makes a world of sense.
McDavid has factored on five of Hyman’s six tallies this postseason, and until the Kings show that they can slow down the Oilers’ dynamic duo, there’s no reason to think that Hyman won’t keep putting pucks in the net.
Oilers vs Kings same-game parlay (SGP)
I’ll lean heavily on the Oilers offense for my same-game parlay as I look for Hyman to lift them to another high-octane performance. Edmonton has scored 6+ goals in two of three games while averaging 5.67 in the series.
With the Oilers scoring in bunches, these clubs should have no problem combining for Over 6.5 goals — a total they’ve reached in all three meetings.
