Jack Eichel anytime goal scorer

Filip Forsberg 2+ points

Vegas center Jack Eichel has been the driving force behind the Golden Knights, leading the team with four goals and three assists through the first five games in their series with the Stars.

He picked up an assist on Mark Stone’s goal to open the scoring in Game 5; he was silent the rest of the way, though, as Vegas fell 3-2 in Dallas, putting the defending champs on the brink of playoff extinction.

That was the first time in three games Eichel failed to light the lamp, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort. He led the team with four shots on goal, and since going shotless in Game 1, he’s peppered the Dallas net with 18 shots on goal, tops on the team.

Going back to the regular season, Eichel has 10 goals in his last 15 games. In a do-or-die scenario, the shot volume should still be there, and with any luck, so will a goal.

It’s been a tale of two series against the Golden Knights for center Wyatt Johnston

He went pointless in six games and was a minus-4 in last year’s West Final, as the Stars’ Stanley Cup hopes ended at the hands of the eventual champions.

Now? He’s leading the Stars in scoring with three goals and three assists in five games and has an even plus/minus. He had a pair of helpers in the Game 5 win, giving him multi-point efforts in two of his last three games against Vegas.

Like Eichel, he’s been the busiest shooter on the squad, firing 21 shots on goal through the first five games, the only player in the series who’s topped 20 shots.

The scene shifting to Vegas should be an advantage for Johnson, as he’s scored all of his goals in the series at T-Mobile Arena in Games 3 and 4. His only regular-season goal against the Knights in six career games was also at Vegas.

Taking Johnson to get a goal as his team seeks to close things out Friday is a solid play.

Let’s wrap with Filip Forsberg, who has been the main source of offense for the Predators. He’ll likely need another standout performance in Music City to get back to Vancouver for a Game 7.

He assisted on both goals in Nashville’s party-spoiling 2-1 win in Game 5, including a hard drive to the net that eventually spilled in for a key tying goal in the third period, setting up the Alexandre Carrier eventual game-winner five minutes later.

Forsberg is the lone multi-goal scorer for the Predators in this series, and also leads with six points overall. Going back to the regular season, Forsberg has picked up points in 25 of his last 30 games, with more than half of those (14) of the multi-point variety.

The Canucks have done a fairly solid job of keeping Nashville’s offense at bay, but Forsberg has been a difference maker, and he should be supercharged in front of the home fans in a must-win Game 6.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each of game on Wednesday's playoff slate:

Canucks vs Predators same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

Nashville to score first

It's always tough to build an SGP in a game that projects to be a low-scoring affair, which is the case in Nashville tonight. The Under is an easy add to this and Nashville played great at home for 57 minutes in Game 4. The momentum is back in their favor and they have a massive edge in net with Juuse Saros. The first team to score prop correlates with both plays and is just a boost to the odds by 75 points.

Jason Robertson anytime goalscorer

Since I'm backing Dallas to win, I need some of its skaters to find the back of the net. Enter Jason Robertson, who scored what ended up being the game-winning goal of Wednesday’s contest.

Robertson has now scored in three of the five games in this series, which is tied for the team lead. He also ranks second on the team in shots on goal and is the primary triggerman on the first power-play unit.
